I came here to get a new pair of ortho-k night contacts because my previous doctor retired. My old pair became a bit out of focus and I felt it was best to get a new pair. Dr. Woo and his staff helped me set up a new fitting and a new pair and the process was very clear. Overall, the price was fair and I am thankful for the continuous follow ups regarding any issues that may arise. I am excited to continue working with 1234 Eye Care for my eye contact needs.

I started my ortho-k journey back in 2022 after years of dealing with glasses and soft contacts. I originally went to a doctor in West Covina (his name rhymes with “Dodger Coo”) because he was cheaper and came highly recommended by a friend. Big mistake. For over a year, I couldn’t see clearly no matter what I did—he never adjusted my lenses and just kept telling me to sleep on my back, eat more spinach, and wear swimming goggles to bed (yes, really). I visited 12 times and got zero improvement.

In late 2023, I switched to Dr. Paul Woo and everything changed. Dr. Woo is hands down the most professional and knowledgeable optometrist I’ve ever met. He actually listened, made real adjustments to my lenses, and worked with me patiently through every step. I have high-maintenance eyes that need extra care, but Dr. Woo never made excuses—he just found solutions. Now, almost 2 years into my treatment with him, my vision is better than ever.

Don’t let a lower price fool you. Your eyes deserve the best care, and Dr. Woo delivers exactly that. I only wish I had gone to him from the start.

It's been wonderful to have such a caring and knowledgeable optometrist take care of my vision all these years and I'm glad to report that it's stayed stable 15+ years later! I have been with 1234 eye care for approximately 7 months now. I waited writing this view until now because I wanted to truly test out and have Ortho K.
The beginning process was very straightforward. The staff are amazing and bring you into their office and answer any questions you have. They do not try to get you to purchase Ortho K contacts. This office truly cares about the health and well being for your eyes. In my specific case I was curious about Ortho K, but I also was suffering from dry eyes. Dr. Woo and I agreed to try to remedy my dry eyes first, then begin the process of Ortho K.

Month 1: When I came back for my consultation Dr. Woo explained the pros and cons of Orth K. As well as their staff. I was given a 2 week trial period to determine if I could sleep with the Ortho K contact lens. The staff reassured me if I was unable to or not happy with the results that i could return the lens and get a refund of all my money. With this reassurance in hand I put down my down payment and ordered my lens.
For the beginning weeks of Ortho K you are given numbing drops to introduce the contact lens to your eyes. After sleeping with them for the first night I immediately saw a difference. Like magic my vision was better. How I tested to see the performance of the contact lens was I marked an X on my floor and attempted to read my clock for the time. Normally without glasses or contacts I can't read the numbers. From only one night with the contact lens the numbers on the clock were crisp and clear.

Months 2-5: Now the way the payment/setup works is you decide which Ortho K plan you want. You can have one year of Ortho K check ups where basically every month you come back in and Dr. Woo checks your eyes to ensure they are doing good, or for a discount you can do two years. The pros/cons of the plans is one plan is cheaper than the other. I opted in for the two year plan and honestly I don't regret it. The staff and Dr. Woo take consistent measurements and tests on your eyes, so you can objectively see the difference in your eyesight. For me I went into 1234 Eye care with dry eyes and extremely blurry vision, to now having crips eyesight and my eyes don't itch any more.

Month 6-Present: I have fallen into a good routine with my Ortho K lens and I can confidently say that I am happy with the results. You should be wearing your Ortho K lens every night before bed. However, if you're going to be some place where its not clean e.g. camping, or traveling with limited access to showers, then it's recommended to not wear your lens. In the month of July I went on a week long camping trip and did not bring my lens. My eyesight maintained its clarity for 5 days before it started going back to normal. I was very impressed that it lasted that long.

TLDR: Ortho K lens do work as advertised and fix your vision almost immediately. If you're used to wearing contact lens and suffer from dry eyes you won't even notice the lens at night. The price is comparable to Lasix, however there are no surgical risks and it's very low stakes for you financially because of their trial period. You will be well taken care of at 1234 Eye Care.

I got my eyes checked up last year in this optometry. I have to say it was a great experience. The staffs know what they are doing in their field. I had a glasses exam, and picked up a pair of spectacles in the optometry. They had a pretty good package deal for frames, lenses, and some lens coatings. Definitely check this place out if you need to get your eye checked! Btw they are also specialized in Ortho-k. If you are a parent who wants to control your children's myopia progression, you are at the right spot!!
