I should have read the reviews before going there! Went there to get a covid booster. The old nurse at the front desk was very rude to me and to other patrons. She didn’t know how to read a digital vaccination card, definitely old pen and paper type of employee with lack of advanced training. She kept gossiping and making negative comments about her coworkers with another employee at the front desk. She messed up the date of birth on my vacc card. Loud and obnoxious with an attitude problem. Definitely not going there again.
This place needs to change their attitude or close down for good.

The receptionist is very friendly and understanding. The doctor and his nurse, however, were not in the office. Doctor had a family emergency (understood), nurse was out to lunch. For an urgent care unit, it is rather odd to have NO one available to respond to an emergency... However, for now it is still my first choice for an urgent care. Office is very clean and pleasant, and just by talking to the receptionist I could tell she cared. I had a sense that I have chosen the right place... Unfortunately no one is immuned from having an emergency... Even doctors... Life happens! Luckily, my condition had subsided over night while waiting for my appointment... Perhaps, everything happens for a reason.

Extremely rude and unprofessional service from the staff. Claudia, the manager, should be fired. This place is a joke, I mean Claudia is a manager of herself after 12pm. The other staff member leaves at 12 so Claudia is stuck managing herself lol.

Doctor Ray was FANTASTIC! Very professional and nice. I had to pay out of pocket because they don’t take Blue Cross PPO, but the experience here was totally worth it! Seems like he actually cares, which is not normal nowadays, unfortunately.
Anyway, you will not be disappointed seeing him! Great doctor, nice office!

This is the only facility in Camarillo listed on myturn.gov for Covid boosters. I arrived 10 minutes early for my 9am appointment and there was no one at the front desk. A guy who came in before me said he had rang the bell and was told to fill out a check-in form and wait. So I filled out a form and waited. 2 other separate people came in after me. So now there are 4 of us waiting at the counter. After 10 minutes I rang the bell. After 10 more minutes (15 minutes past my appointment time), I left. I never saw anyone that worked there during the whole time! Plus the waiting room was dirty with trash on the floor, TV AND radio on. The place has a really weird vibe.

If you need kind, efficient and effective urgent care, I highly recommend seeing Jason, P.A. at 1st Stop Urgent Care. He is very well versed in his profession and a great listener, with an outstanding "bedside manner". Always positive and professional, Jason P.A. makes your urgent care visit a pleasant experience. Because of Jason P.A.'s impressive ability to help my multiple ailments, I have decided to make him my primary care doctor, as he offers that service as well. The office staff is very friendly and kind as well, and they take appointments that are kept on time. Thanks again, Jason P.A., for helping with both my urgent care and primary care needs with unparalleled knowledge, kindness and professionalism.

Went into urgent care for my son’s head wound. Get to the front desk and my wife tells the receptionist that we have tricare prime. The lady scoffs and states that she hates dealing with that insurance; insurance which is used in the care of active duty military personnel and their family.
How about this receptionist lady; instead of complaining of the type of insurance, you instead focus on the patient and caring for his wound.
My wife and son finally see the doctor and he states that we visit another urgent care because he doesn’t have the glue to seal up his wound and he is also out of staples.
I’m deeply disappointed with their care of patients. We don’t make a habit of visiting an urgent care but expected some sort of basic medical aid. Instead they ridicule our insurance and push us out the door to another clinic.

This practice should not be listed on the MyTurn.ca.gov website as a vaccination site. The staff does not wear masks nor enforce masks in the waiting room with people coughing and not distanced. I am not a mask enforcer for all public settings, it’s known medical settings are going to likely have COVID in their practice since it’s a MEDICAL setting where people are looking for help. I scheduled my son twice to receive his vaccination here per the MyTurn resource and not only was the setting unsafe but they “didn’t have” the vaccine available. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re injecting saline instead and claiming the CA state write off. Dr. Raphael Argueta was very hostile when I inquired about the COVID testing offered, and contradicted lack of mandate action followed for ALL medical settings per the CDPH.CA.GOV .
I was immediately dismissed and told I was enforcing political stance for this inquiry and told to leave. He asked if I wanted his medical license and information, then suddenly didn’t have it to offer me.
-I understand the exhaustion of this pandemic, it’s obvious to not offer a resource to help people and the youth to be vaccinated if you’re ironically not going to abide by any state health mandate in regards to COVID. Reading the prior review, the “medical director” who is the MD (Raphael Argueta) that you’re supposed to trust with your health, referred to the patient seeking assistance as a “customer” and that in itself says this office is purely profiting off the MyTurn location tax write off. I know the response I’ll receive from the office will be dismissive and ignored, so to future patients seeking vaccination- please reconsider a different location.
