Emily is an incredibly gifted human. A true artist. I had a maternity photo shoot with Emily. I was specific about wanting empowered, feminine goddess maternity photos and she delivered that and more while creating an atmosphere of comfort and fun. She was easy to communicate with so I knew that she understood what I wanted. Florida- you’re lucky to get her as we will be missing her in Oregon!

I first laid my eyes on Emily’s work at about 32 weeks pregnant while scrolling through FB. I had not been looking for a birth photographer and didn’t plan to hire one at the time. I stumbled across her website and was absolutely delighted by her portfolio. Emily’s artistic abilities and love for her clients radiated throughout her portfolio. I was even more intrigued when I saw that she offered doula services. Something deep in my gut and heart told me to reach out to her. It only took one phone call to know that I 100% felt comfortable with her documenting the birth of my fourth child. Emily quickly became more than a photographer or doula, but more so a deeply trusted family friend. She immediately delved into supporting me and my family throughout the last weeks of my pregnancy. She visited frequently to check up on me, apply spinning babies techniques, curb walk with me, and just give me overall moral support.

Emily undoubtedly goes above and beyond, and it is clear that she has a true passion and love for her work and clients. Emily was one of the first of the birth team to arrive, and immediately began supporting me. I had previously felt as if perhaps someone photographing my birth would make me uncomfortable, constantly having a camera in my face during such an intimate time. However, I never once noticed Emily documenting my birth. She has mastered the talent of capturing all of the raw, intimate, once-in-a-lifetime moments of birth while allowing the birthing person to remain in 'labor land.'

Emily remained by my side, loving on me, advocating for me, and coaching my husband. The labor and birth of Joshua Moon was an accumulative 40 hours. Emily stayed by me and my husband’s side even after birth. She helped my son latch for the first time and helped us still have skin-to-skin. Even postpartum and beyond, Emily has continually loved on us, and I’m eternally grateful for her. The photography and videography she captured for us are ethereal. I know for sure I’d want Emily at any of my future births and deliveries. I would recommend Emily’s services to every woman in Central Florida.

Emily is wonderful. If you want to have birth photos you cannot go wrong with hiring Emily! She is the absolute best to have in the room with you while you labor. She is kind, loving, gentle, and captures moments you are going to want to relive. She does so quietly too as if she is not there. BUT if you want her to be vocal and cheer you on, there is no one better for that either! You won't regret hiring Emily for your birth photos. She's the absolute best. We are so incredibly thankful to have had Emily capture the moments of our son's birth. Seriously so blessed to have these photos forever. She goes above and beyond. She is the best.

We chose to have Emily do our maternity shoot, the birth, and the fresh 48 shoot. That is the way to go! It was SO amazing. We met her for the first time in person at our maternity shoot and immediately felt so comfortable. The photos turned out so beautifully- Emily has such a gift for capturing special moments and making you look fantastic in the process! When I went into labor at home, Emily came over before the midwives to capture some of those earlier moments. Emily wasn't our doula but she was so helpful; offering assistance and encouragement when it was needed. We had communicated on the type of video style we liked from her portfolio and it turned out more perfect than I could have ever imagined. I've watched the video every few days since we got it and am in awe each time! During our fresh 48 shoot, I had no idea what to do or what to expect. When you've had a baby literally 48 hours prior, you haven't slept, are squishy, and don't feel like yourself at all. Leading up to it I was thinking, "I can't believe I'm having photos of me taken today, I can't even get ready!" But, as always, Emily was so sweet and knew exactly how to make the photos so special and meaningful. I'd highly HIGHLY recommend Emily to shoot any part of your pregnancy, birth, and/or postpartum journey. It's such a gift to have those photos and videos to look back at but equally lovely to have worked with a person as awesome as Emily. Worth every penny, 1 million percent!

I really can't say enough good stuff about Emily. She is friendly and empowering, talented, well prepared, present and dedicated. If you are wondering what happens and if it is worth it to have a doula even if you end up having a csection birth, that happened to me because my baby was breech despite all our plans for a home birth, and Emily's help and support was still so crucial along the way. In particular, having the beautiful and unique photos that we now have from our maternity shoot, the birth, the hospital, and of the baby afterward, is worth every penny all by itself. Through her photography i got to watch my baby come into this world and my husband become a father in ways I never would have seen otherwise. Do something that your postpartum self will love you for and hire Emily for your birth journey.

I can not begin to say enough incredible things about Emily and her work. The maternity photos she took are some of the most beautiful photos I've ever had taken of me, and the love she captured between my partner and I was magical. We hired Emily as a Birthphotographer and when I ended up in the hospital instead of a birthing center it was a little scary and overwhelming. Emily's doula instincts kicked in she was so incredibly supportive and reassuring and my partner and I can't imagine the experience without her there. The photos she was able to capture even though I had a c section were indescribably beautiful, as were the postpartum photos of our baby at a week old. All of her photos are so organic and don't feel at all forced or posed, which is what makes them so amazing. Anyone hiring her will be lucky to work with her. I would recommend hiring her as both your photographer and doula. You won't regret it!
