My first visit could not have been more pleasant. My wait time was short and I received superb care from everyone involved. The office is well organized and frankly…. refreshing. I had the delight of seeing Dr. (Peter) Rao and the guy looked me in the eye and communicated with me just as a friend would. Excellent coordination/communication between office staff. I’m more than thankful to have this team guard my heart. Thank you Rao Heart & Vascular for the refreshing visit…. stay at it!

Absolutely love Dr Rao, Amber Freeman and staff. They are so good, and patient with Melissa. They never act uncomfortable with her having down syndrome. They just give all the hugs she asks for and their patient with all her questions.
We really appreciate them and would absolutely recommend them.

Amber Fleming is one of most caring and compassionate healthcare professionals I've ever seen. She checked on me several times in one day to ensure my blood pressure was managed and continued to follow up with me in the weeks after to make sure I was still doing good. Had a great experience with this practice. Staff was great from the minute we walked through the door. Saw Amber and she was great. Paid attention to every detail and listen to all of my concerns and questions. Can not say enough great things about the entire visit.

I saw Rau Associates last fall / end of summer. The Nurse Practitioner I saw was completely unable to answer my questions and got downright confrontational when I did not allow him to skip over them and move onto the next topic.
I am a retired military officer who had a heart attack after getting the covid vaccine. Since then, I have been to the ER around 10 times, but they always do the same thing. They do an EKG and check for troponin and if those are negative, they cut you loose, even if you are still having chest pain. I honestly feel like I am still going to die sometimes when I leave the ER, and this is the reason I followed up with cardiology.
The NP called the doc who recommended, without even talking to me, to put me on some medication to mask my chest pain. I asked, shouldn't we know what is causing the pain before covering it up? Again, no answers to questions and I ended up leaving because they had no idea why I am having chest pain and just wanted to throw more pills at me.
It is now being documented that the covid vaccine can cause myocarditis, pericarditis, and probably other heart problems, but apparently it is an alien concept at this office to actually evaluate the patient before prescribing meds.
After the visit I got a call from the office manager, probably in response to my bad google review more than they care about me. How do I know that? I removed my review with the promise of "I will follow up with you later and get you to see the doctor this time." Nope. Never got a call or follow up.
My advice, if you have recurring chest pain that cannot be easily categorized don't waste your time here.
