I can’t say enough great things about Angel Hospice and Happy Nest.

The nurses and doctors at Angel hospice took wonderful care of my father. They were thorough when communicating with the family and were always available for our questions and concerns. They helped guide my family through one of the most difficult time in our lives, and we were always met with patience and understanding when making difficult decisions. I absolutely recommend Angel Hospice and Happy Nest to anyone who needs this level of care for a loved one.

George and his family provided phenomenal care to my father while living at Happy Nest. They are caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. They truly make the residents and their loved ones feel like family. I am forever thankful to Fely, June, and all of the staff for the care they provided to my father each day, and the support they gave to my family during such a hard time in our lives.

First of all, I've never written a review for anything or anybody. But, happy to make the exception for Angel Hospice. Starting with nurse George. George was absolutely 24/7 attentive to all our questions, concerns and needs during our mothers hospice care. He honestly cares and it shows through his work and his constant support. There is no one quite like George, THANK YOU! All the nurses and assistant nurses were always so loving to our mom, treating her as if she was part of their own family. A special thanks to Angeles, Maria, Claire, Cynthia, Helen and the Chaplin, you will always have a special place in our hearts. Anyone looking for hospice care for their loved one, look no further, Angel Hospice is truly the best!!

We put our 86 year old Mom in the care of Angel Hospice since March of 2021 and the care she has been given is second to none. She is happy and content and if there is an issue they call to let me know and it is addressed immediately with a follow up call every time. It is heart breaking enough having a parent with dementia but I can rest easy knowing she is being taken care of and with love and kindness. George, Claire and the staff are the best in town. This is Moms 4th place and last because of the care she is receiving at Angel Hospice! Thank you Debbie Johns

I have never posted a review, however, I appreciate Angel Hospice soo much in caring for my 99 year old mother that I had to tell how GREAT they are! George cares, and is there anytime of day to help. His staff is supportive and compassionate. Feel fortunate to have Angel Hospice in my mom's life.

Choose your Hospice provider carefully. It should be a choice you and your loved one is happy to LIVE with. Good Hospice care is about living the best life possible, it is not about dying. After returning from the hospital, our 95 year old mother informed us that she would not be returning to a hospital no matter what was wrong with her. We were very concerned about how we would handle the care for her many medical issues. We had experience with Angel Hospice from one of our father’s illnesses a few years ago and we were very happy with the care provided for that illness. When our father entered the last year of his life we were in need of hospice once again. The second time we used a hospice recommended by the hospital. That was when we learned that a hospice provider is a service that deserves research and scrutiny before making a choice. The hospital tried to sign us up with “their” provider. We declined their choice and went Angel Hospice because we knew they provided excellent care and would consider our mom’s individual needs rather than providing a cookie cutter approach. Shop carefully for Hospice care and we highly recommend you interview Angel Hospice in your search.

Angel Hospice was a great experience. The entire staff are A+. I don’t think I could have done it without them. They worked with me at all levels. At the beginning of the pandemic my mom fell and broke her back in three places which she had already had several fractures to her back from a previous car accident. She was placed in two different Nursing Home facilities and neither one was attentive to her at all. After 2 weeks of only being able to speak to her on the phone my sisters and I pulled her out and had her brought home (which they had to bring her home on a gurney because of the severe pain she could not sit up).
We brought Angel Hospice in and they took charge of my moms situation (which was a big help to me).

10 months later my mom was not only able to get out of bed on her own, she was pushing her walker around the house, dressing, putting on her make-up and doing her hair on her own.

My mom and I both feel that if we wouldn’t of had the help and assistance from Angel Hospice, she would not of ever gotten to that point. We give Angel Hospice all the credit for my moms recovery.

I do not write this review lightly; my mother has terminal cancer and I can't WARN people enough about the service we have received from this Angle’s Hospice. What we have been told by George and Clair has been incorrect to say it kindly, purposely misleading, if you ask my family. Not one thing George promised us came to pass, not one, no support, no compassion, no medication, nothing, we got a CNA 3 days a week to shower mom and X-Large depends for a woman who weighs 98 lbs. When I told George the depends were too big, he told me the would be fine just use them. Within days my mom developed bed sores. I went out and bought the correct size and there has been no further problems. Then there are the deliveries from their fly by night pharmacy at 1:00 AM. yes, I said 1 AM, not scheduled, unannounced, just start calling the phone over and over until the whole house woke up to pick up medication we did not need. George told us we HAVE to use this pharmacy, but when we checked with Medicare that is not the case, hospice patients are not limited on where they can get their Rxs from. Their pharmacy charged us copayments on pain medication that according to Medicare should be covered at 100% while mom is on Hospice. They delivered prescriptions half-filled just so they could make two deliveries and bill medicate for both times. We were told there would be a chaplain come and visit mom when we brought her home from the hospital. We objected and made it clear to George the visit was not needed or desired. George insisted, stating it was a requirement of the program. I persisted and said again we do not what the chaplain and that I doubted it was a requirement of the program and we live in a country of freedom of religion. The next day a chaplain showed up at the house unannounced and insisted on being let in to speak to my mom. He was not let in and when I objected to George, I was told that I agreed to allow him to come to the house which I did not nor would I ever have ok’d it as it was NOT my mom’s wishes. After only 6 weeks in the program, we made the decision to pull my mother out of the program due to the continued horrible service and continued misinformation being fed to us every day by George and Clair. We were then told if we did pull her out before the end of the month there was a chance her Medicare supplemental insurance would not be in effect until the following month. Again more misinformation as this is, and was not true, we checked with both Medicare and the insurance and it is simply not true. Sounds like someone was behind on their billing and needed to get claims filed before we pulled the patient out. Please, I beg of you, as the caregiver to a mom with terminal cancer DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, you will regret it.
