Every time I've talked to Dr. Chiong whether on the phone or while in his office he has taken the time to listen to me. He explains everything clearly and answers my questions. He made me feel like he genuinely cares.
When I needed a copy of my diagnosis to take to my hematologist oncologist Dr Chiong took the time to give me the copy, he didn't put it off on his staff.

Dr. Chiong has been a visiting physician for the community I work at for 3 years. He has been very responsive to the residents needs and visits them frequently. Having a physician who is local and familiar with the community and residents is a benefit not only to the residents, but their families and staff. I appreciate that he is always there to help with any concern or issue and when someone is sick, he will take time out of his day to just drop by and check on them. Thanks for caring.

My parents are retired doctors themselves, so I am selective about doctors for them. I expect a lot of communication, professionalism and high quality of medical care, and I communicate quite a lot with their medical care providers. When I told my brother--also a doctor--about Dr. Chiong's approach to elder care, he was floored. "Do you know how very unusual it is to find a doctor who gives you his direct number and answers texts and emails within 24 hours?" he asked. With that kind of trust, I have tried to not take undue advantage of the privilege of access Dr. Chiong provides. (Doctors need a family life, too.)

Dr. Chiong's approach of home visits is invaluable to people like me who have to work and also want to provide a great deal of support and care to parents in assisted living care. I have found Dr. Chiong to be compassionate, knowledgeable, responsive, and smart about referring out to specialists if his patients were experiencing something outside his expertise. He estimated exactly when my mother needed to go on hospice, patiently explained to me how he arrived at that conclusion and how her care would improve with hospice support, answered my many questions, and alerted me when the time was getting short so that I could prepare for the fact that I was going to lose her. He was transparent and ethical about his connection with the hospice company (Friendly Hospice, which, by the way, was also wonderful with my mom). I'm grateful to have Dr. Chiong and his model of elder care in our community. It also says good things about him that the assisted living staff have mentioned to me their respect for his quality of care for the residents he serves.

Dr. Chiong is a true gem to find in the Inland Empire. Unfortunately, most of the time it is very difficult to find an upbeat and caring medical professional that understands chronic illness. His office is clean and tidy. Also, every staff member that I have spoken to has been very kind and helpful. The first time that I called, I got a phone call back by Dr. Chiong himself. I was shocked to get fast service since I'm used to waiting a long time to be seen by specialists. It's wonderful to have a fantastic doctor in town so I am not having to travel to find help. Prior to meeting Dr. Chiong, we could not take my advanced-Alzheimer's afflicted father to his medical appointments because he was extremely agitated/confused, and uncooperative. It was a scary time for us, and then we met Dr. Chiong when he was attending to another patient at Dad's assisted living. For the past four years, he has visited my father regularly (1-2 X p/month) and has monitored his health needs closely. Dr. Chiong listens patiently and we never feel rushed. He responds quickly whenever we call with a medical question, and follows up with a call to us after he sees Dad. He also communicates regularly Dad's carers/nursing team. We appreciate his personal attention and conscientious care of our father. Dr. Chiong is more than a visiting doctor, he provides excellent concierge service AND he accepts Medicare. If you are need of a home-visiting doctor, we highly recommend Dr. Chiong.
