HORRIBLE! The nurses gossip all the time. Very rude to family members! The female patients get uti infections because the nurse assistants fail to give them proper care. The shower techs are lazy. if the patient (with dementia) refuse to take a shower, they never encourage them to take one. Instead, they take it as a free time.It only takes them 5-10mins to give them a shower. They bring back patients to their bed and they dont care whether the bed linens are changed or not. Some elders stay in their bed the entire day. I came one morning to visit and they were understaffed. One of the elders beside my auntie’s bed complained that the CNA at night did not show up and the bosses failed to find a replacement. If an elder is placed in the hallway close to the nurse station, they sit there the whole day. The nurse assistants dont change their briefs not until someone complain of a bad smell (feces). The nurses only offer water when they give meds.

Our experience with this facility has been beyond any of our expectations. From the management to the entire staff, all have been so helpful and caring for our parents who are both here at the same time.
We truly feel the love and support by the nursing and therapy teams that are shown to our parents.
We totally recommend Camarillo Healthcare Center to all who are in need of rehabilitation for their loved ones.

From June 6th to July 15th, I was recuperating from a broken tibia and fibula. I wanted to thank the nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other staff for their excellent aid in my recovery.

About 7 months ago, I wrote a review regarding my uncle’s brief stay at Camarillo Healthcare before he passed away from cardiac arrest at the age of 93-1/2 years of age. I just wanted to add that my uncle was a WW II veteran who fought in the war overseas. He told me that the entire Camarillo Healthcare staff were always attentive. My uncle told me that he was always treated with respect and noticed all other patients were treated respectfully by the staff. So, I want to say thank you to everyone for taking good care of my uncle, treating him and others with respect, and sending me an unexpected and nice reply to my first review. . Below is my original posted review.

My uncle was a resident of Camarillo Healthcare Center nursing facility from November, 2016, until his death from a heart attack in May, 2017. During my visits to see him along with my Certified Therapy Dog, Bailey, I found the facility to be very clean. Based on my observations, the entire staff from Admissions to Nursing to the Front Desk were always very courteous, friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and professional. By the time my uncle became a resident, he was frustrated that he was unable to walk and was confined to move about in a wheelchair. Other than that, he told me he liked the place, the food, and the attentive, concerned nursing staff. On May 3, 2017, the nursing staff phoned me at 1:30am to notify me my uncle was in cardiac arrest, and they were attempting to revive him while they waited for the Medical Response Team to arrive. A nurse remained on the phone with me and said the EMT had taken over resuscitation procedures. Although my uncle was briefly resuscitated, he could not hang on; and medics eventually had to stop and call it. I was very grateful by the efficiency of the nursing staff who followed my written instructions to contact me at any time in case of emergency and other contacts that immediately handled arrangements upon his death. I would like to reiterate that I found the facility to be very clean inside as well as outside, and the entire staff was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. The only drawback is that the facility parking spaces were minimal, and I always had to find street parking.

Clean friendly caring. I'm editing my review. Severely understaffed. Male CNAs are preferable to female. Patients are lucky to get a shower once per week! If glasses or braces ECT. are needed it takes forever with much prompting from realatives. Reasonably clean. I feel very sorry for the patient who has no realatives or friends. No medical transpo for the indigent but for dial a ride and if they have Dementia it's too hard for them without assistance. Re: outside medical appointment or any other appointments. Hair cutting and styling are available at exorbitant price , poor quality. It's a understaffed Nursing Rehab facility. Medical Medicare accepted. It's really opened my eyes to what Im looking forward to. Without family support it's a scary thought. Probably other Medical Medicare facility's are similar but I've never heard of any with this showering schedule.

Based on my own experience staying with you your efficiency rating is poor. Hugh amount of wasted time walking from nursing stations to a room to find out what the patient needs when this can and should be done on speakers. The coordination of multitasking could be simplified saving a lot of wasted time and effort benefiting the patient the workers and the corporate bottom line. I’ve never stayed at this facility or had any family member here. However, from my experience with a passenger I picked up through Uber as I am a driver, they were very unprepared in discharging the patient and were blaming the patient for the workers inability to confirm the patient received his medication and paperwork before discharging him to wait outside.

Someone who is elderly or require nursing care cannot fully look out for themselves and the people work here, some not all, clearly fail to realize all the roles they need to contribute to working here.

I noticed these employs lack responsibility for their job requirements and blamed the patient for failing to sign the discharge paperwork before getting into my car.

They blamed the patient the entire time for not signing his discharge papers.

I’m disappointed to see the treatment this patient received and clearly the people who work here who helped this man don’t like helping him or either don’t like working here.

I’m posting this review so hopefully their management can see it and put some effort into improving their facility in basic human treatment and kindness.

The patient also agreed he couldn’t believe these people and how they do their job. They seemed very rude to someone who cannot fully take care of himself.

Very happy with the care and attention my mom receives and more important, she's very happy with it! If ever there is a concern, I get in touch with the department that would handle it, they address it and it is always handled to my satisfaction immediately. They are very responsive! I make contact with my mom or an activities gal at least a couple times a week to see how she's doing. Thank you all at Camarillo Healthcare Center!
