DO NOT tell them you have Medicaid if you plan on paying out of pocket! They don’t accept Medicaid, which I already knew, but they will ask you what insurance you have. I told them Medicaid, but I’m paying out of pocket (this is for my child who had a laceration that needed to be glued shut). The receptionist said that they have to REFUSE treatment because I told them I had Medicaid even though I told them I will pay out of pocket. That is the most ridiculous rule I have ever heard and never had any other urgent care refuse treatment simply for having Medicaid despite paying cash.

UPDATE: I went to a competent doctor and was tested for gout. I do not have gout. My toe was never inflamed so there was no real evidence of gout. I will be speaking to management because they expect me to pay a bill for this "medical care" and that is just simply not happening.

I went yesterday a bit before 5:30pm after walking with pain in my foot for a few weeks. I got in pretty quick and all seemed well. I waited for what seemed like forever before the doctor ever even came in. She said her name was Debbie. From the get go she acted as if I was a bother. I went in for an xray, that didn't happen. She asked me why I decided to come in then after I told her I had been hurting for a few weeks. I told I was hoping it would just heal on its own. She felt of my foot and then told me she was gonna treat it as gout. She said normally they do bloodwork but that they didn't have time today and I shouldn't wait until an hour before closing to come in. First of all, I came after work. Second of all, I came for an xray. Not bloodwork. My bad for not having the medical training to know that this was something other than an injury. I don't get that paycheck, Debbie. You do. Third of all, close your doors at 5 if you don't want to see patients until 7 when you close. DO NOT PUT YOUR MEDICAL CARE IN THE HANDS OF THIS OFFICE. They do NOT care and Debbie is RUDE and just can't be bothered. I will be getting a second opinion from my doctor because her attitude has left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe it is gout, but I will let someone more COMPETENT test me for that. This is actually my second interaction with this "doctor". My fiance went in with what he thought were fractured ribs years ago, and she was just as unpleasant and rude. By the way, they gave me a shot to help with the pain. I woke up at midnight in more excruciating pain than I had been in before I even went there. I don't know if I even feel comfortable taking the script they gave me at this point.

I get a different Dr. every time I visit, I've been back to back, most of them really don't know what they're doing, every time I go back I'm getting told something completely different.

I wish they would do x-ray, blood work because I feel like I wouldn't have to go back still sick with the same thing over and over, they'd prescribe me meds and then I'll be back sick with the same thing in about 2 months, it's like they're Dr.'s in training and don't know what they're doing.

Even my sister went, she was still sick after they gave her meds so she had to make another appointment (and pay) and get different meds and she's STILL sick!

I'm just going to find a real Dr. else where, it's not worth it staying sick and wasting money on their service if they don't know what they're talking about, none of them!

And all of the ladies in the back have nasty attitudes (the ones that write down your info and check your weight)

They also wouldn't give me a temporary refill on my diabetic medication until I found a real Dr., so it was pointless and the bills they sent you are so high!!

I was in and out within an hour. I saw Dr. Lee and she was very welcoming and warm. I usually come here at least once a year. I’ve never had a bad experience.

I have been going to Med Plus for over 14 years, mostly to be treated for gout. Yes I've had to wait a few times and "they" didn't seem attentive to me, but I knew they were busy. All of the "snowflakes" on here that are complaining are such poor pitiful victims just like others in society. SHUT UP! The world doesn't revolve around you. This is a GREAT medical clinic and I'm not a hugger, but I want to hug them all because they show such care and concern and always take care of me.

This place is a disgrace. The worst in Florence and probably world wide. I’ve unfortunately had to visit on occasion due to it being the only office open in the evening when emergent issues occur. Went this evening at 6:20, and was told they had enough patients to last until 7:00 (closing) and so they weren’t seeing anybody else. Just turned me away. On the other hand, wellness walk-in clinic is amazing. I always choose to go there when I can.

I’ve had Joel Sessions, PAC and several other nurse practitioners/ PAs at this location and they have been wonderful. I never leave reviews but I had to make sure Joel was recognized for his thoroughness and care even with a 30 car line.

This is my go-to when I am not feeling well. With all the sickness coming around they still manage to make you feel heard and taken care of.
