We greatly appreciate all the care, support and personal attention our sister received while she stayed at the hospital for over two weeks.

In particular, we would like to call out Dr. Shaxena who made extra efforts to connect with us as a family and also with my sister on a very personal basis. She took an interest when we had to weigh the options for our sister to transfer to a post-acute facility after her release from the hospital.

Although we initially thought that we might even be trained to do the IVs every 4 hours and take her home, the doctor really asked me whether that was doable.

I am so glad she questioned that because my sister has needed physical therapy to rebound and only a post-acute or skilled nursing facility can accommodate that on a regular basis. The IVs are complex and it would have been next to impossible for us to do all that.

Also, We would like to share our appreciation for the entire nursing staff, Infectious disease, doctors, and neurologists.

We wish to thank Santa Clara Valley Medical Hospital. You saved her life.

My husband was transferred here from O'Connor for a surgery (arrived here Friday afternoon and surgery is scheduled for Monday morning). He has been here for two nights already and we are annoyed. The rooms are not set up well for someone who is fully mobile, but our biggest complaint at this time is about Dietary. My husband is a vegan and is labeled with "vegan cardiac diet." Somehow, they got the order he was NPO a whole day early, so he didn't get a breakfast tray. Fine. Mistakes happen. When he finally got a tray, the only thing he could eat was the juice and fruit cup. I don't know how cheese omelet was considered vegan or cardiac, but that's what he got.

I’ve talked to them for weeks to see an ENT specialist. Not only did they refuse to see me , they also require referral even with PPO insurance. I spent hours calling my urgent care to send them the referral and they said I need to go see my primary care. They said the specialist would do the same thing as a primary care. They didnt read my referral notes at all. Absolutely ridiculous.

I want to thank Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for helping my mother with her fistula. Although there were some nurses who acted immaturely, majority of them took their jobs seriously and are professionals. I believe management is trying their best to improve the patient experience. I can understand dealing with sick people day in and day out can be frustrating for the workers. So kindness goes a long way and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center was very kind to us. We received proper and professional care here.

I got hit on a scooter. When I was here what a nightmare. After the checked all my scrufs and my injuries. They put me in a room for more than 6 hours. Then say yeah you can walk youre good. Not only that I paid $150 to kaiser now they want another $150. Silicon valley what a scam. I guess I'll wait because I won't pay 2 times. Health care is such a scam all they want is money not helping patients.

Even it is public facility but really nice people and the doctors are good 😊 you can trust and high Quality service. Nurses are sometimes rude but the most important are doctors. The facility is kind of old but efficient/ you can find a pharmacy inside and the line is fast. Pharmacists are sometimes hard to deal with - the language is hard to understand but it is a good diversity - I highly recommend this clinic and GO PUBLIC SANTA CLARA VALLEY MEDICAL 🏥

My 88 year old mother, has been brought into to ER within the last year. Recently, she was brought into ER on December 12, 2024. She had been in ER, ICU and other floors within the last month of her life. I just want to thank all of the wonderful staff who took care of her over over these months, especially the last month of her life. I have nothing but praises and honor for all of the nurses, doctors, and other wonderful staff. You guys are awesome and heroes who go beyond jobs to take care of people. In Sikhism, this is called Seva ( selfless service to humanity) and you all are an embodiment of this. Even though my mother passed away on Dec. 25, 2024 and is not with us now, but she was well taken care of at your facility. The staff showed great understanding of our needs. May God bless you all!

I always have an excellent experience when I go for my appointments and surgeries… I agree the ER can be though at times, with very long wait times, but my experiences with the ER in past few years have been quite good and attentive. The nurses and doctors take exceptional care of me. I feel very safe in their hands. My prime medical doctors are Dr. Jing Wang Chiang in gynecological oncology and Dr. Christopher Elliott, in urology….they are the best and I honestly love them. I would not go to any other specialized doctors except them. I have my life because of them…( no joke)—a good quality of life—and I am eternally grateful!!! These pics reflect my quality of life… I am a high-stage, chronic cancer patient and have lived longer than anyone expected! ❤️🙏🥹
