She is an Excellent Dr, full of knowledge and insight. She has never rushed through an appointment. She always takes time for my questions and makes sure I have an understanding before she's finished with the appointment. She really listens to you.

I visited this office for an eye exam after being referred by my primary care doctor due to eye pain when moving my eyes. Before scheduling, they asked for my insurance information, which I provided—Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO. When I arrived, they suddenly claimed my insurance was a "student plan" and insisted I pay upfront, saying they would submit a claim later and refund me the difference.

Confused, I called my insurance company, who confirmed that what the office was saying made absolutely no sense. My plan does not have a deductible for in-network visits, and this office is clearly listed as in-network on the insurance company’s official website and documents. Additionally, the office incorrectly claimed I had a $250 out-of-network cost, which is irrelevant since they are in-network.

When I asked the office to speak with my insurance company to clarify, they refused. Instead, they said, “Pay or leave.” The front desk staff was unhelpful and rude, claiming students don't pay their bills. This is not only unprofessional but feels like clear discrimination against students and possibly others based on race or occupation.

The experience was frustrating and disappointing. If you value respectful service and transparency, I recommend looking elsewhere.

I've been Dr Kaur's patient for several years. She's very respectful, aknowlagabl and explain the situation well. She does not force her office's products. She's very detailed in her examinations.

Dr. Vu and the staff at California eye surgeons is excellent. Dr. Vu is very thorough in her examination and goes into a lot of detail. She makes sure all possibilities are properly investigated. It was easy to schedule appointments and the staff was very helpful in making sure the prescriptions were available and the instructions were clear (Thank you Nick!). The billing was also done correctly and lady at the front desk was very prompt in sending me all the receipts.

I have worn glasses for 62 years and my eye health and vision have gone through some changes during the last 4 years. Dr. Vu has treated me during this challenging time and the clarity and sharpness in my prescriptions she provided for my glasses were the best I've experienced.

Dr. Vu's examinations and corrections are very thorough and she has helped my vision at all levels, much better than I thought was possible. I have found Dr. Vu's ability to stay on top of my vision changes impressive and I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a skilled optometrist for all optical needs, including special cases.

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS, GO SOMEWHERE ELSEThis place is so unprofessional and doesn’t care about customers. We made an appointment today. When we checked in, the biller said we have to pay $250 upfront because we are students even though we have zero deductible in-network health insurance. If not, we have to leave. They even said they need some sort of pre authorization code from our insurance company, which doesn’t make any sense to the customer. The employee work at here should take this responsibility instead of customer. In this regard. We called our insurance agent to confirm whether there is any $250 fee need to pay, which obviously the answer is no. Therefore, the funny things happened, the biller kept saying she saw the fee in her said. From my understanding, this place has their own insurance checking system, which is not same as insurance company provided. After wasting an hour at this place, we decided to leave…

Dr Linh Vu is, amazingly in this new world, actually competent! I consulted her to give me prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses, and a process for deciding what's best for me. She figured it out through testing, discussion with me, and explained the plan clearly. She's great!
