I am severely gluten intolerant and allergic to perfumes. I was never offered a good diet and had to fend for myself; often eating salad or a sausage patty.
I got the necessary doctors note, but this didn't change. I was told I can get things to eat and they are not responsible.
As far as the perfume allergy... I fought for staff not to wear something that wasn't even allowed for 'clients'. Still, staff wore perfumes meaning I had to leave treatment meetings because my allergy is so severe.
No one cared that 'clients' were still wearing perfumes, or that I couldn't get enough to eat.
There are good people here, and they should all jump ship.
Fabi even told me I should be happy she didn't wear perfume. Fabi just ignores things and acts like everyone should love this program, despite its faults.
I won't even get into having to fight for mess.
Please contact me with questions.

I have been clean for five years before that I battled a ten-year heroin addiction. I cannot thank God enough for this facility and some of the counselors. I learned how to live again here and what it meant to be a woman, and as a result of this place and the assistance they provided to me and my son, I now have two lovely daughters who have never seen me high. The help is available; you get what you put into it. If you are tired of using, come here. It will not be easy, but if you can remain silent, listen, and learn, your entire life can and will change. I often think about this place and the counselors who helped change my life, and I am so thankful to God.Jesus set me free from addiction, and he used this place to mend my broken heart and make me whole again.

Took my mom here to try and get her help. Didn’t inform us she would need a medical clearance before being let in. Had to wait 4 hours in the ER and while we were waiting she had almost all her stuff stolen by the other women there. It was in a locked room so I wonder how they got to her stuff. The women were violent and none of my moms things were searched so I can just imagine what is in that place of “rehabilitation”.

Please whatever you do find another place for substance abuse because they only care about how are they going to get paid and the woman are grimmy and they allow lesbian relationships there and the director knows what’s going on and she does nothing don’t stay at this facility there’s better ones that will help you for real and do care

Want your kids back. I’ve seen girls just about lose their kids. They were out of time and parental rights were terminated. Then tables turn and before you know it they’re getting their kids back. This program has a well deserved reputation within the court system. Excellent staff and if put forth effort they’ll match it times ten.

FRC took me in as a client.I am 62and getting up at 5:30 to do landscaping is just sad that this is how they keep the place running .all house chores and outside chores as well are done by clients.there are no hired workers at all.. I had spoke to Liz my counselor regarding making a move to serenity due to the fact that I baby Sat some very disturbed children for hours a day.I had a 950.00 dollar cashiers check stolen from me as well 80$ in cash .I put a pass in to go to serenity house to get information .Liz wrote on my pass LETS TALK.I went to her office and was told they would not save my bed and was told to leave.I had not asked them to hold my bed.with no where to go my entire family was on vacation.the second night outside I developed sepsis a deadly disease ad well as pneumonia .I was taken to ICU at Palomar hospital from where I was just released.the never cared if I had a place to go as a senior citizen there concern was non existent. There egos just could not stand the fact that I wanted to go somewhere more suitable for me.how sad they all seem to put a 62 year old lady in danger.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a better life free from addiction. I was there self referred for 6 months and I could not have imagined a better outcome for myself. I was living on the streets last year and now I have my own apartment in their transitional housing, 2 jobs, and my family back in my life. I am looking forward to beginning schooling to become an AOD counselor myself. I was inspired by the great women who helped me gain my confidence back and change my life who I met at FRC. Again, I cannot recommend FRC enough, I (and my mom and daughter) am eternally grateful for the change they have helped me to make in myself and my life. Yeah, they have strict rules and you are expected to participate in the house and walk a straight line. The rules aren't difficult to follow, there are a lot of them, but none are especially difficult. The structure I got there from doing my best to participate and follow the rules has helped me so much in my life outside there. Really truly if you just focus on yourself and follow the rules your life can change more than you could have ever hoped for. It did for me, at least.

Firsthand experience myself my wife tells me to contact her counselor to see what I gotta do to visit her. So I call and leave detailed message. Counselor calls back They cannot confirm nor deny if said person is there and that if a person wants you to visit they will tell you how to go about the process. I said that's why I'm calling. I'm sorry I can't help you. Why did you even call back then. It's a run around. Very frustrating. I understand there is is guidelines but it's ridiculous. For someone that don't know what to do. You get a thumbs down.
