You might as well go to the after hour clinic or another hospital..charge you thousands to act like you are a burden to them. I would've gave a 0 if I could..also they need to have better communication in the e.r. cause you are told one thing from one person and another from the other person..don't make no sense.

Signed in at the ER at 10:28 am . They wouldn’t take my insurance information until check out . Ok. Waited for 3 and half hours to be called to an exam room. Took vitals then waited 2 more hours to be examined by Dr. Lab tech took blood and the wait continued. Dr. finally came and gave diagnosis. Total time at hospital 8 hours for non infected blood blisters on two toes. My husband
was with me and walked to back ER desk where
nurses where sitting with their feet up on desk. I nor any of my family will ever go there again. Nothing is done in a timely manner and patients
have to wait unrealistic amounts of time . This hospital should be closed!!

The doctor is a fruit. You’ll be here for several hours before being seen. I’ve been here three times for my self in the last six months that I’ve been in Alabama and two times for my kids. And I swear we sat here for several hours before we were seen and before they came and checked on us and did anything with us.
This place is a joke and run by clowns. The doctors a fruitcake he can’t even tell me what a tubal ligation is, but he’s supposed to be a doctor.

I received an invoice from the hospital, and upon reviewing the itemized charges, I observed discrepancies indicating an overcharge of four times the expected amount. Upon addressing this concern with Katherine Johnson, she affirmed the hospital's right to set its fees. For instance, one item was billed at $338, while the customary cost should have been around $10.36. In discussing these discrepancies, I inquired about the lack of response to my Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaint. Mrs. Johnson's recognition of my name implied prior knowledge of the matter. She clarified that the hospital's failure to address the BBB complaint did not contravene any legal obligations. However, this acknowledgment suggests awareness of the overcharging issue. Furthermore, she suggested seeking assistance from charitable organizations, which I found impractical and morally questionable. These experiences reflect a troubling pattern of unethical billing practices, ultimately tarnishing the hospital's reputation and undermining trust in its business practices.

Worst ER experience I’ve EVER had. Wouldn’t even left 1 star if it wasn’t the only way to leave a review. I should have read others reviews before going or I would have just went to sacred heart. But being pregnant and having a strong feeling something was wrong with my baby, I came here because it was closest. Just for them to do literally NOTHING. 10/10 DON’T recommend. Especially the overnight ER. They put you in a room and just forget about you. Don’t give you your call light. Very unprofessional.

If I was able to leave a review without giving a star, I would. This by far is the worst hospital I’ve been to! Went to D W Mcmillan ER today…against my better judgement but due to my medical history and the way I felt I honestly didn’t want to drive all the way to Milton. After finally being called back the first nurse gave me a gown, told me to put it on as she walked in and out of the room leaving the door open. The second nurse was great although I sat there for 1 1/2hrs without a visible call light and no blanket. Seen Dr Allman who might as well be a weather man given the fact he gives his best guess instead of running test. Sure he ran blood and urine but when they didn’t provide a diagnosis…he just made one up! 5 1/2hrs to just guess the issue. I have Google and WebMD which probably would’ve given me a better idea and I could’ve sat on my couch for 5hrs. I left before I had a complete meltdown. Absolute waste of time, money, and energy!!!!

We walked it at 5:45 am this morning. It took almost ten minutes to get registered. (Inexperienced staff) We was placed in a room and the nurse got vitals on my daughter. Blood pressure 96/50 which is low for my daughter due to her being athletic. Heart rate 130 which is extremely high for her also because she is an athlete. We waited for almost 45 minutes and no one never came in. No urine culture no blood work, the nurse never even ask my daughter about her pain, when she voided last, nothing. She never even ask why we were there. We could here the staff laughing and talking in the triage area. At one point we almost thought the doctor (Dr.Low) was going to come in we could hear her voice close and she stated who is throwing blueberries away, reached into the trash and got the blueberries rinsed them off and went back and sit down with the other staff while she ate the berries. There was no one else in the emergency room at this time. I was up and down and back and forth looking out the door watching staff propped up just socializing with no care at all. Finally after my daughter vomiting multiple times with increased signs of lethargic @7:05 am, I helped her to her feet and we left and went to Jay hospital where she was provided the best medical care. ( And there E.R. was busy and was in and seen right away) It's so sad that this is the type of care being provided in the brewton area. I will never go back to D.W. McMillan hospital ever again and would not recommend anyone to take there loved ones there.
