Most of My experiences with this location’s physicians have been good. A few were not but I no longer see those doctors. However, my husband needs to go to UCSF for surgeries on his kidneys. Getting medical authorizations for these surgeries has been a total nightmare. The authorizations have to be requested by his urologist’s office in Carmichael. The person who handles this paperwork is not doing their job and as a consequence we have had to wait til the absolute last minute to get the authorizations in time. Also, apparently, when this person is out of the office there is no one to fill in for her who knows how to handle this task. When I spoke to the person responsible the first time she was a little rude and seemed put out that the request was urgent. The second time, UCSF requested the authorization around October 4, 19 days before the surgery. When the admission date was moved up 1 day a week before the original surgery date it was discovered by us that the original authorization had not been submitted yet!?! And now we are again in an urgent situation waiting for the authorization. It’s hard enough to face a scary medical procedure along with dealing with something that might cause the surgery to have to be postponed when he has already been waiting so long. The rest of the people we have spoken to in that office have been kind, helpful and understanding. I don’t know if this is a management problem or a personnel problem but it needs fixing.

This is a very clean building with many excellent physicians, who work here. Extremely clean restrooms, easy access to masks and hand sanitizer. Plentiful parking around the building.

My experience with the Mercy Med Group has been fantastic. Setting appointments is easy (you have to plan ahead), staff is kind and friendly and the 2 doctors that I've been seeing for the past 20 years are awesome humans. Dr. Hicks and Dr. Toussi. I would not recommend the Dermatology Dr at this facility; he was awful. That was just 1 experience, and I won't go back to him.

ER department took good care of me. I wanted to add that Simron Sangha was so helpful after 8 hours waiting for a room. I had good doctors but the personal touch of Simron made my 24 hour stay better. She helped me get care and tended to my IV better than anyone else, and finally my discharge was happier because of her. She never made fun of me like another nurse did because I drove to the ER after experiencing a slight stroke. Thank you Simron!!

This CLINIC is the absolute worst ever! The bald Indian lobby receptionist is completely void of civility or common sense. The staff inside are derelict in their duties and the extreme rules to disallow victims with obvious needs to be accompanied by a spouse or loved one are ignored. Covid you say? No one was wearing a mask!! I waited outside and watched as my loved one struggled to stay awake from the seizures. Horrifying. The Security Guard was the only one who let me check for worsening condition. Really terrible place. We waited 7.5 HOURS to be seen. As for your snarky reply about NOT being an ER - well it shows! And it's a good thing too. You failed on every level. Your sarcasm is another example of your incompetence and disregard for the human spirit. Good going Dignity. Humankindness my @$$!

To my dismay this is the worst medical group (Dr. Schlesinger) for providing timely appointments and even worse communicating with their clients. My mother has been neglected in her care by the primary and staff since new onset of dizziness months ago. On a personal note they can careless about their clients and when there is a concern they opt not to communicate and instead avoid my mothers faxes and phone calls. In an immediate concern requiring neuro consultation this group inadequately sends referrals to other groups that my mother’s insurance does not cover. My mother who has her right mind calls the group stating she still not has a referral. Sarcastic reply’s by staff that they forwarded consult to another neurologist that is covered by her insurance 4 days later and still has no consult. As a health care professional I had to push for CT scan which I’m glad was done with a new Dx that needed to be treated. This is very frustrating with a Mercy Medical Group that has no concerns of urgency for my 80 year old mother.

Dr. Jacobsen's office would not answer questions about scheduling, and took days to call us back.

I've emailed your customer service email with an extended explanation. Wonder if it'll respond.

Fun fact: I received a call from Dr. Jacobsens office 2 weeks after my mother passed away trying to set up a pre-operation appointment. We worked with Mercy/Dignities hospice services while she died. Nobody there communicates with anyone else.

Absolutely the worst place I have dealt with. I was referred to this clinic months ago. I have called repeatedly and every time they had a reason why they couldn’t book my appointment. Finally, I had everything they requested and now I am told they cancelled my referral. If I want to book an appointment it would be next year, but need a new referral. You could not pay me to go to this disorganized mess.
