All the office staff are excellent. I have seen most all of the doctors in one capacity or another and they always take the time to listen to your concerns and needs. They use a combination of Eastern and Western medicine and treat the whole person. I have recommended this practice to many and they all have the same experience. One star because the front office staff is nice but overall this practice has no clue what functional medicine is. First red flag is when Cunha advised me to get a second opinion from an endocrinologist. Why in the world would I do that. I left western medicine ideology to go the holistic route. 2nd red flag is when the PA asked me to show him studies to support the information I was telling him. I shouldn’t have to tell you that extremely low iron affects your T3 numbers or that T3 medication will suppress your T4 numbers. I shouldn’t have to tell him that lab ranges followed by western medicine practitioners aren’t optimal ranges for patients. In my opinion, he is not knowledgeable enough or capable to deal with patients that have autoimmune diseases. But then again I was dealing with a PA and not a doctor. Dr Cunha isn’t any better so that says a lot about there practice overall. Side note- customers service isn’t her strong suite. There’s no difference between this facility and a regular PCP. You can have your pcp run the same labs that shows what vitamins your deficient in, dose your medication and tell you to eat gluten free.

This has been several years in the making- but I wanted to say I am so grateful for Mr. Chien-Wei (PA) who listened to me and read through my medical history. Thanks to him, I finally received the right lab tests and a diagnosis of thyroid disease. I had seen several doctors before who could not find anything wrong. He also introduced me to Izabella Wentz's books which have been a tremendous help. I highly recommend him and this practice for figuring out the root causes of my issues. I would not be doing as well as I am today without them. Thank you so much!

I've been a patient here for almost 3 years. My Dr., (the wonderful and amazing Katie Cunha) has changed my life. I went in with a slew of issues when we first met. From that meeting, that day i KNEW she was gonna HELP me. She did. She listined, we made me a plan and we figured out everything. I came in just a wreck. She wiped my tears with a tissue and gave me reasurance and hope. I left feeling like i mattered and that i would be okay. I continue to see her to this day (today in fact 🙂 and I refer my friends and family to Internal Medicine and Wellness and to Dr. Katie Cunha. She is what a real Dr. should be. She goes above and beyond and she fights for you and with you. You really feel the knowledge and compassion she has for her patients. I look forward to my Dr appts regardless of reason cause i know whatever it is she's gonna fix it or get me to whomever i need to fix it (and she has and saved my life, literally). I dont know where id be right now if it wasn't for her. If you need a Dr. and you want one who will change your life and outlook of medical professionals go see Katie. Whomever she reports to, I hope they know just how much of an important, amazing, dedicated and RARE Dr. she is. I went here and saw Katie Cunha in the fall of 2018. I was not having a period and had recent blood work completed via my gynecologist. I was concerned about thyroid disease because I have a history of that in my family. Cunha wanted to perform more intensive blood work tests to determine what might be the cause of my hormonal imbalance and lack of period. We did that and when the additional blood work results came back she said that she could not make a determination and did not know what the issue was. She wanted me complete a 30-day saliva test to determine what my hormonal fluctuations were. I thought this was ridiculous because I'm not having a period, so my hormones are basically flat lined. I felt that I was being taken advantage of because of my insurance. This office only wanted to run tests and earn money but not make a diagnosis. It also took them six months to run the bill through my insurance and you cannot pay bills online. You have to mail them your payment. I also tried to visit them for an unrelated issue with a tendon in my foot and I could not be seen for one week. I ended up going to a walk-in clinic because this was an urgent issue. I would not recommend this place.
