I have been helped here twice. Once for a concussion, once for an upper respiratory infection.

I recommend them highly, especially for veterans covered by the VA. The insurance process here is as easy as it gets. The second time they still had all of my information and just had to verify that I was covered by the VA still and my address had not changed.

Each time, I was seen quickly by a physician's assistant.

My prescription was sent over to CVS immediately.

Quick and easy, I highly recommend them, no reason to put off going to urgent care. Check their hours before you come.

I'm a Veteran & I was directed to this Urgent Care facility via my VA Healthcare facility located in LA Jolla.
I can't begin to emphasize enough, how profoundly impressed I was/am, with the level of Heath Care I received, from both my nurse (*Hailey), & Dr. Serra. This place rocks! Aside from being 1 of thee nicest, contemporary medical facilities I've visited, it's also very clean, & the entire staff from the receptionist on up, we're all extraordinary.
Furthermore- Dr. Serra, took the time to listen to my concerns & then he took immediate action. I was literally in & out, in 22 minutes!!! AND, I had my prescription (Z-pack) in hand, which I was able to buy for $20 cash... in lieu of having to go to a local civilian Pharmacy & deal with the headache going through all the VA red tape related stuff...
Dr. Serra, thanking me for my Service & giving me a blue Star patch which was made from the tattered American flag which flew at the Miramar National Cemetery- Priceless!
I don't impress easily- but this was quite literally 1 of the most superlative experiences I've had, in any sector of customer service.

This is by far the best urgent care I have ever had the blessing to discover.
The staff are always phenomenal. No where else have clinicians reassured me as much as they have here. Not only their words but their actions as well overwhelmingly indicate a genuine devotion to the patient's best interest.
I have repeatedly showed up to this urgent care as a complex case that involves a lot more risk and liability between patient and provider.
One time a provider here told me, "I never want you to worry or hesitate to seek medical care"; this almost made me cry. Often I would identify a burden while trying to attain help and most medical facilities will do little to correct this; fortunately Coastal Family Urgent Care is different. They are real, passionate, genuine life-savers.

To most people an urgent care is not a big deal; you go, wait a couple hours, get your meds and feel better in a day or two and forget about the place.
Others are more regular customers., like those with a chronic medical condition. I've been to my fair share of urgent cares and emergency rooms. Despite my repeated visits to this urgent care none of the staff have accumulated any biases, judgements, or compassion fatigue towards me. They are lovely, intelligent people and I would encourage this urgent care the most.

Son was stung by a sting ray. We arrived at 5:53 pm this evening and the door was locked. There were two patients in chairs in the waiting room. She came after we knocked and told us they were closed. I asked aren’t you open until 7 and she said no not today. It was hard to see our son crying in pain and saying please please because he was hurting so bad. Do not recommend.

Great facility. The staff was wonderful. I was seen in just a couple minutes. I got stitches for a deep cut on my finger, they did a great job. Happy to find out they see kids of all ages too for the next time my kid needs to be seen.

Best urgent care ever! I cut my fingertip all the way through my finger nail and it definitely needed stitches. I got there about ten minutes before closing and was greeted by a very friendly staff. They told me I might not get in because they were closing soon. I decided to take my chances and wait. They got me in after they closed. I met the very wonderful Dr Vivian Carlton. She was so kind and made me feel like there was nothing to worry about. She added extra stitch's, per my request, because I use my hands a lot and I always seem to brake them. She even stitched my fingernail together. Here it is about a month later and you can barely see the cut. She did such a good job cleaning out the cauterized/dead skin and doing the stitching that I don't have any scar tissue at all. Thank you Dr Carlton and staff!

I am Rosemary, Sajed's wife. Visiting our son and his family in Encinitas (we live in Boston), I suspected that I had a UTI. Coastal Family Urgent Care accepts my insurance. Lauren, the receptionist, was very pleasant and helpful, both when I called and when I arrived at CFUC. She checked me in and gave me the forms I needed to fill out. After a short wait, Lauren directed me to a very clean bathroom to give my urine sample. Then Shannon brought me to an examining room and took my blood pressure, asked me a few questions and said the results would be ready soon. Kristen, NP, came in shortly and told me the quick test showed that indeed I had a UTI. She asked me some questions about my medical history and prescribed Cephalexin (generic for Keflex), which I started taking that day. She also said my urine sample would be sent to a lab for further analysis, which would take 3 days. Dr. Aminlari called me Friday with the results of the analysis and to check how I was feeling. I feel that the medicine is really working! I am very happy that I went to CFUC and feel that all the staff treated me with respect, patience and gave me excellent care. I will certainly return to them if I need care whenever I am in Encinitas and wholeheartedly recommend them to others! Thank you!

I don't leave reviews often, but the front desk lady at this practice had such an attitude with me, I feel compelled to warn others. The actual medical providers at this practice are okay. I will look for another medical office for my kid anyway, just so I don't have to put up with the front desk anymore. I had a very simple inquiry, and was met with nothing but passive aggressiveness, ego, and know-it-all attitude. Very unhelpful. I am quite relaxed about these things, but this treatment is too much, even for me.
