We have been going here for over five years. Our doctor is great. We like her a lot. The problem is getting in, and getting through to their call center/office. Literally every call takes over 30 minutes just to talk to a human, and then the appointment will literally be over three months. I realized how bad it is as I now pay out of pocket to go literally anywhere else. If I can, I just go in person to deal with True Care. It is faster to drive there then it is to wait on the phone. Its so bad that the referral that was made during my sons well check visit got messed up. Radys tried to call to get it sorted and they couldn't get through. As I had to work, and I couldn't go in personally, my son had to miss his appointment that we had to wait for over seven months, as the referral was messed up on True Care end. No one could even get through!! Not even the doctor or insurance. If your insurance puts True Care on your plan, call up your insurance and change it. Its not worth your time or money

UPDATE. After being on hold for 28 minutes, I did get my son to be seen the next day.

I've always disliked true care mostly because of their doctors I waited for 30 minutes in the back room waiting for my doctor they never showed up. So I ended up leaving what lazy doctors

Went last year and had no issues. Their service was friendly and they filled the couple of cavities I had.

I went to a new dentist this week, since I moved. They informed me I have a dead tooth.

TrueCare didn’t care to assess for this when I had the same level of darkening on the tooth. I’m not sure how long it’s been dead. But if it was alive at the time, this tooth could’ve been saved. Extremely disappointed with this practice.

Getting through to anyone here is highly frustrating and can take 30-60 minutes.
I also booked a virtual visit and waited an hour but no-one showed and there was no way of contacting anyone to resolve the issue.

Instead of calling me in the morning when my insurance was ran and denied, it would have been nice to know not to come or at least time to figure out what’s going on beforehand. But instead I had to drive to fallbrook drop off my child come back to Carlsbad to have the receptionist tell me that I won’t be seen today and gives me an appt for 2 weeks later... now it may not seem too bad but take into account everything in between that time that led up to this, just straight common sense is all I ask for. It took every bone in my body not to slap someone that day.

I waisted my time just because Truecare was irresponsible and didn't do anything to send referal in time. So, I was waiting in line then receptionist surprised me that referal still not available. So, I spent few hours calling many people in Truecare who just footballed me saying that I have to call to the clinic I usually go. I called few times to Carlsbad clinic and heard the same response. I even called to the Record department to ask them to transfer me to the right people but I was transfered to unknown department department. I even was close to the finish line but someone on the other side was impatient with me and hang up on me ... I never had such experience before! At the end of the day when I finally got referal I had to wait long line and wait inside a few more hours instead of 40 -50 minutes. My day off was ruined!
