Dr Savani is wonderful but only goes to the Carlsbad location on certain days so the wait to see him takes close to 3 months. Like all the reviews with the appointment center it is the worst having ever having to wait over half hour. It’s obvious they don’t care about patients needs. It’s a negative reflection on the manager who runs the appointment center and the executives of the center.
Try using website to book appointments or go to another Neurology office and get better service and respect for seniors in need.

My provider sent me orders for an in-home sleep study at The Neurology Center of Southern California in Carlsbad. However, the scheduler and staff at the Neurology Center failed to provide us with any instructions regarding the pickup and return of the sleep study kit. They neglected to inform us that the device must be returned by noon the following day, leaving no room for error or additional time. This lack of communication caused significant stress for clients who were driving from North County, potentially facing work, school, or other commitments.

Furthermore, we were scheduled for only one appointment, and the return of the device was not mentioned until the appointment itself. I was already booked for the following day and was unable to accommodate their strict policy.

As a five-year CPAP user who has completed two in-home sleep studies in the past, I can attest to the strictness of their policy. In contrast, my in-home sleep study kits from Better Night were significantly more flexible. They provided at least a month for the return of the kit and even included instructions on how to mail it back.

I urge anyone who or their doctor orders a sleep study kit from this establishment to be aware of the limited flexibility and strict policies they adhere to.

The worst ever trying to get through to them on the phone. Actually kinda scary really. I’ve tried months to get through to this office to make an appointment! I need to see my neurologist and have given up. I’m making an appointment with my Primary to get a referral to a different neurologist, and it will definitely not be with a doctor here at the Neurology Center. Unbelievable really. It’s easier to get through to the DMV or Social Security.

Dr Savani was wonderful and gave me a lot of time answering all my questions.But..... the front desk staff seem uninformed on basic questions, and it is impossible to call and talk to someone, I waited 1 hour on hold yesterday, and gave up. That has happened multiple times. The "call center" number is for all the offices in SD county and Temecula, and if you go to a sleep study in Carlsbad, THERE IS NO OTHER NUMBER TO CALL. If you get lost at 8 pm at night, good luck asking someone for directions. I'm going back to Scripps, despite Dr. Savani's credentials.

Can't get in even with a referral. I was referred here because I have a rare demyelinating disease and this was supposed to be the best practice outside of UCSD which is a bit far from me. It's near impossible to get through on the phone, I've called upwards of 20 times and gotten through to a person three times. Even with the referral they keep asking for notes from the referring physician because "the doctor is particular about his patients". The referring doctor assures me notes have been sent, they've been very responsive and I have no reason not to trust them. So the referral just isn't being accepted but the Neurology Center won't state this. I've been part of a University Hospital system (albeit out of state) research study for the past three years, if the doctor isn't interesting in seeing me I'd argue they're not interested in treating demyelinating disease.

Totally impossible to talk to anyone at the front desk. Even making an appt takes hours. I ended up just coming in person to make appt and the front desk was rude and doesn't know the answer to very basic question. Truly scary that a place like this exists.

My father went for emergency brain surgery and I haven't been able to reach his neurologist or any other human here for a week. If you see this Dr Droker, please call me.

Not sure what it takes to get a hold of anyone here to make an appt- or even have them call you back! Absolutely awful. Doesn't matter if you op to have them "keep your place in the queue" and return your call. Well, I must be in a long queue- I've been waiting since Friday, Sept 19th. Here's my phone log:
9/23 x 2
9/19
9/18 x2
9/17 x2
