My mother-inlaws life with Dementia began about 15 years ago.
Soon after losing her husband to Stroke, she steadily declined until my wife could no longer properly care for her mom alone.
Fairbanks Home was recommended to my wife by a family member whose mother inlaw had been cared for by Dina and her family of caregivers.
Highly recommended, my wife and I went to meet the staff for the first time.
Upon entering the home, I was surprised to feel like I was entering a home!
The other places we saw had a counter and office feel to them. 3 in all.
The layout is, front room with a comfy sofa, chair, coffee table and a piano.
Then dining room to kitchen, to family room with a sofa and 3 recliners, and a big tv with tons of movies.
There are only 6 or 7 residents at a time but, there is also an almost identical home next door run by the same folks!
2 residents per room and a private room or two also.
My mother in law was there for 7 years and the people who cared for her became part of our family.
Don't be shocked by the low monthly rent! They totally under charge for their excellent service too so SHHHHHHHHH!
They were a little known secret but we've been spillin' the beans about this oasis for our elders for years now!
Probably a waiting list for rooms but get on it while you are looking around.
