Their customer service is terrible. I ordered a tilt-in-place manual wheelchair for my mom from this company last year. The chair requires modifications as my mom is not comfortable or positioned correctly. After more than six months with two different ATP’s and dozens of calls and texts, they have still not taken care of the issue. I recommend finding another company that actually supports their products.

Quite possibly the worse medical supply company there is. My sister had enough on her plate when she was referred to them by her home health agency. Instead of entrusting someone that worked for an organization that has since gone out of business we should have done our own homework. We could have simply learned by reading the reviews other patients experienced similar problems.
Getting through via phone is still a major problem. “Looking into” the problem 10 months ago evidently got overlooked. I should have stuck to my 3 strike theory. Instead my sister said the customer service rep assured her they would do everything they could for her husband so we trusted her. Big mistake. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing and there is no follow up or communication How does a company get all the way to the point of getting a physician order, medical history, insurance info, and schedule an assessment for a fitting and show up to the appointment to learn they don’t accept the patients insurance. That was one of the first questions answered not to mention a copy of insurance was forwarded to them. In the future when sending a professional out for an assessment if there is a problem, as a suggestion the problem should NOT be disclosed or communicated in from of a patient that suffered from Severe TBI. Anxiety frustration and restlessness starts immediately and lasts well pass the time of the professionals departure. Maybe the company should consider training their professionals that go out into the field to be more professional.
It’s truly sad that all care comes down to what insurance covers and doesn’t cover. What’s even sadder is having a patient who is bed bound wait the time frame asked of him and then pull the rug out from his feet just to leave him more helpless than before.
Lesson learned make sure to read reviews and trust other customers knowledge is power.

I do not believe I provided a patient name in my review. AND The chief operating officer did reach out to my sister to “try to make things right”…
However she returned his call to offer a second chance for them to redeem themselves but no return call on their part. Evidently protocol is to try to extinguish negative poor reviews but NOT do anything about it. Goes back to “actions speak louder than words”.

Access medical is a fantastic team of professionals who really care. They not only hand delivered my wheelchair but worked nonstop with my Doctor and insurance company to get the best possible fit for me and my home. Blaine is outstanding and kept in contact communication throughout the entire process and answered all messages and questions promptly. I cannot say enough about this wonderful company and their services.

Access Medical Wheelchairs is the BEST custom chair supplier in San Diego. They 100% live up to every step as explained on their website. Technician came to our home, did comprehensive evaluation of our custom chair needs. Next, technician and physician did a Zoom meeting to determine final specs for chair. Delivery was flawless. From first phone contact with Access and each step, polite, professional wonderful experience with people we can count on.

I highly recommend Access Medical. My son broke his leg and had a leg cast from his toes to his waist. We had to physically carry him every where. We fortunately spoke to Blaine and found out that Access Medical can build a custom chair for unique circumstances for any age. My son is 10 and Blaine helped him from just wanting to lay on the couch to being able to get around our entire 1st floor and feel like he had some independence while he was waiting for his leg to heal. Blaine did a great job fitting him for his chair and even making the process fun for my son. His mood and outlook got 100 times better once he started using the chair. A huge thank you to Blaine and Access Medical for helping us with a very challenging time for our family. I highly recommend Blaine and his team.

The worse company ever !!! I have been waiting for parts for more than 3 months now. Every time I call the company, I get the run around. Employees are so incompetent; they do not return calls and contradict themselves. They demand paperwork to be signed so they can hold you accountable for the charges and when you say NO they turn their back on you. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING. Most Insurances pay for repairs and parts. Stay away from this company. I do not recommend this company for ANYTHING.

My opinion- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Or be very, very careful what you sign. Do not sign a waiver of liability if you are planning on being reimbursed through Medicare and if they tell you to pay up front DO NOT DO IT. They have been giving me the run around for approximately a year- sat on my money for approximately a year. Be very careful. Kevin is legit and so is Jana but as a whole this company is not trustworthy in my opinion.

My experience at Access Medical was wonderful. I needed a new wheelchair desperately. I was in such pain from my old chair and didn't want to wait another second for a chair that fit. Access Medical made sure I had the best chair for my needs and completely customized it for me to fit me perfectly. I was concerned about the wait to recieve it as I had had a terrible experience with another mobility company. Blaine the owner rushed my order and gave me an exact date as when it would arrive. He kept in touch with me continuously and made me feel like my comfort was important to him. I would highly recommend Access medical they truly care about you as a person and want to be sure you are really taken care of. I feel blessed tohave found them and will certainly use them in the future for all my mobility needs. Thank you Blaine! David
