We arrived at 7:30pm before their 8pm closing time with a kid's possible broken finger. There were no patients in the waiting room but turned us away stating "they aren't taking any patients now since their day was too busy." Disappointing experience. Apparently not open 8am-8pm?

The experience at MedHero has always been top notch. The staff was professional and the medical care was excellent. Our family has been seen for a variety sports injuries, minor illnesses, and other maladies - we've always been pleased with the care received. Quick and convenient imaging and lab services are extremely valuable and appreciated when timely access to primary care physicians is challenging. I highly recommend MedHero.

Great establishment here for in and out needs. I had an issue with my eye and booked online for the earliest appointment they had and was able to get in a few minutes before my appointment time and met with Dr Keith right away and he was able to prescribe me some drops that cleared it up within 48 hours. Highly recommended

I went to this clinic after Christmas, unfortunately returning from a trip abroad I contacted Covid. I was sure I had strep throat and the PA took a test, sent it away and to this day I have never had a call to give me the results. Overall, I found the medical assistant, extremely kind and helpful however, the PA could learn some interpersonal skills. She came across quite aloof and unempathetic and I’m not sure I would return here again based on my experience.

I couldn’t get a day of apt at my doctors office so stopped into MedHero and received the best service! The friendly team did a chest xray after a quick examination, they had results within minutes, and prescriptions for pneumonia. Don’t wait if you don’t feel great and can’t get into your normal physician. The Med Hero’s are there for you! Thanks Dr. Keith and team! Our family will most certainly be back again soon 🙂

There is usually no line for the urgent care. That is the only positive thing. I initially went here since the reviews seemed ok. But they have patients leave good reviews for credit to their next visit (conveniently the credit basically covers the xray amount hmm see the hidden charge issue below). Seems unethical to inflate ratings with monetary gains, especially since this is supposedly an urgent care. Every time i have come here for urgent care needs, it takes 5 hours minimum (usually will be an all day visit....for an empty urgent care, that is crazy since scripps urgent care is usually packed, but 5 hours was the maximum time ive ever spent at scripps urgent cares).

Additionally, regardless of the type of insurance or whether you have one or not, you must pay $25 for xrays since they have a "professional doctor" examine the image for you. Should there not be a professional doctor capable of administering medical advice and diagnosis with an "urgent care" that is covered by the in-network nature of this place? Such a weird fee. Never had this at other medical places. They never make you pay this $25 xray fee the day you visit, but bill you a couple days after. They claim it isnt hidden since there are a couple paper signs on the walls and front desk, but who visiting an urgent care has the ability to pay attention to details like that? Honest medical providers would disclose this upfront.

Moreover, you would think they would keep records of your prior visits, but every time I go, I have to fill out all documentation again. Not just reason for visit, but insurance, pharmacy, ID scans, literally everything. That is the last thing an unwell person wants to do for every visit. This has never been the case at other hospitals, since record keeping is typically standardized or backed up at hospitals.

Tldr: Stick to Scripps or established hospitals for urgent care needs. Also dont believe the good rating, as it has been conflated with money-motivated reviews.

Fast and professional. After taking a nasty spill on my mountain bike, I was in and out with 9 stitches in under 1 hour. My insurance did not cover it, but out of pocket cost was very reasonable.
