I met Dr. Chan for the first time yesterday. I wanted a consult to discuss if I needed surgery. He was very thorough, took his time discussing a variety of options and in the end, recommended I just keep an eye an eye it. I really appreciated the options provided without pressuring for a surgical procedure. I highly recommend him.

I was referred to Dr. Chan suggesting that he was the one to go to for surgery. Dr. Chan was very much against surgery & first suggested a course of medication. This did not produce the results he wanted and suggested a second option of banding. THIS WAS TOTALLY SUCCESSFUL AND LIFE CHANGING FOR ME!! There was no need for surgery!!

He is thoughtful and methodical. He looks at the big picture of what is best for the patient. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any medical services.

Referred to Dr. Chan for double hernia surgery. I expect Doctors to be professional but I found Dr. Chan really sets the bar. I left his office completely convinced in his capabilities and dedication to my personal well being. The 4 hour surgery went longer than expected but amazingly well and my recovery was quick and painless, I never even needed an aspirin after 4 hours of robotic surgery! My two follow-up visits were routine and I was just given the all clear for all activities. I can't praise this surgeon enough for his skills and personal/professional demeanor.

Typical fatphobic doctor. If you are fat, and have a history with eating disorders don't expect sensitivity. He told me my BMI, and also told me my weight which I had explicitly asked not to be told. He said it was high like I don't know I'm almost 300 lbs lol he also said fatty liver is because I'm fat which doesnt take a Doctorate to know. he was educated on the side effects anorexia has on the GI system atleast so I appreciate that and referred me to a gastro specialists which I also appreciate. His insensitivity definitely had me wanting to relapse. Please if you are a doctor educate yourself on HAES and keep your weight bias out of your profession. My weight did not "improve" because I lost weight as it is not inherently bad to be fat. Which he implied with his use of language. Educate yourself on eating disorders and their affects on our mental health, which also affects our physical health. I've lost weight slowly, which is a safe way for someone with my history to lose weight. That's should've been enough

I had an appointment with Doctor Chan to have minor surgery. His demeanor was surprisingly different than any other surgery doctor I have ever met. I immediately felt at peace with him. He is a gentle conscientious caring individual in a production society. In my experience male doctors are generally arrogant and towering over their patients. Doctor Chan was considerate, kind, and interchanging with his dialog, which made my wife and me very joyous that we came to him. I would never hesitate to recommend his services to anyone.
