I’m compelled to provide another update regarding my experiences at Lacdmh East Sgvmh. Unfortunately, today, I had yet another disappointing encounter.

Supervisor Max called the LASD on me for trespassing, despite my genuine attempts to access the facility for assistance. This added incident further emphasizes the ongoing issues with communication and treatment of individuals seeking help at this facility.

In addition to my previous concerns about staff honesty, professionalism, and customer service, this incident raises serious questions about the overall atmosphere and approach at Lacdmh East Sgvmh.

I believe that individuals seeking support for their mental health deserve respect, empathy, and clear communication from the staff. It’s disheartening that my experiences continue to highlight significant improvements needed within this facility.

I hope my updates serve as valuable insights for those considering Lacdmh East Sgvmh for their mental health needs.

My experience at Lacdmh East Sgvmh was nothing short of disappointing. The staff’s lack of professionalism and respect left a lasting impression on me.

I interacted with a staff member named Jeanice Monroy, who initially claimed to be a supervisor. It was later revealed that she held the title of staff assistant, which made me question the honesty of the staff. Obtaining basic information from her took an unnecessary amount of time and frustration.

To add insult to injury, another staff member named Angelica seemed to find amusement in my frustration. It’s disheartening to see such unprofessional behavior in a healthcare facility.

The situation deteriorated to the point where I had to involve the LASD to mediate the issue and provide me with accurate information. It’s disappointing that a simple matter required outside intervention due to the incompetence of the staff.

Lacdmh East Sgvmh clearly needs a significant improvement in staff training, communication, and customer service. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and provided accurate information. I sincerely hope that my experience serves as a warning to others considering this facility.

Do not go here! I was recommended here by Altamed and have had nothing but therapist who do not respond, call out, do not answer texts saying I need help, psychiatrist who switch every couple of months and do not refil my prescriptions on time, along with seeing my therapist (if I’m lucky) once a month for 30 minute phone calls! This facility is a MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC- and it should feel distracted to call itself that. Because I have yet to receive the basic aid I deserve

If you want to be cared for horribly then come on down. All jokes aside they do nothing for you and if you have any issue they will show you no care. I am reporting this place as of right now because the “helpful nurse” named Heidi is a prick who hangs up any chance she gets and I was a patient for 3 years. Don’t go here any place is better oh and do not go with the psych named dr works cause that duo is terrible. Reporting as soon as I’m done here

Sharing my very personal life experiences with the therapist and felt absolutely alone still (I totally regret). Didn't feel like the therapist cared at all let alone nobody knew when my appointment was for my 2nd session. It was "missed" no voice-mail or missed call. I know another person seeking a therapist help at this same place, got his appointment mixed up, said the therapist was busy during his appointment time, then transfered the call to the therapist to only let him know that she can't talk to him and scheduled a different time and day. He took half day off for work to do the session which was pointless. Please do not waste your time if you're in need of help.

I started seeing a therapist here about 5 months and the whole process for me was so easy everything went so fast and before I new it I found me a wonderful therapist here he is the best , I can tell him anything with no judgement, just fyi I'm not the easiest person to get me to open up but with my therapist jose orozco he has a way to get u to open up. And he is very patient not pushy, and very easy to talk to . He has helped me thru some situations .as for the psychologist I've talked to her one time ,I have completely forgot her name , but overall my experience has been amazing .....

Heidi is GREAT, and being placed with Dr. Wuerz was a true blessing. But the rest of the staff need to do better in regards to how they work with Transgender clients. Ive had to tell them, multiple times, that my birthname is for legal purposes only, to please refer to me as my true name in the charts. a year later, no change. Im still being deadnamed and misgendered by staff. Its incredibly distressing that folks working in a mental health setting lack the basic training in how to work with folks like me. Please make Transgender and GNC sensitivity training + education a must for your staff.
