Today, 7/24/24, I went in to get a mammogram and a pap smear and lab work. I received instructions on how to check-in, for they were separate appointments which require separate check-ins. The instructions were that I go to the first floor to check in for my first appointment and go to the second floor and wait to be called. After my first appointment I was to go to the "check out desk" to check-in with the receptions there because it was easier that way. Then I was to walk to the first floor and wait at the Imaging waiting area. Which was a little surprising to me that they were doing it this way because almost every time I have had an appointment there, there has not been anyone sitting at that desk. I did what I was instructed to do anyway and no one was at that desk. I waited 8 min. and still no one. There was a cup there so there must have been someone there at some point that day, but not when I was sitting in the waiting room or checking out. The thing that bothered me the most is that I was instructed to do this and did it, even if I knew better that this was a joke. They also did not provide a sign stating that they were "away from the desk" so people don't waste their time waiting there. A nurse came out and I heard her tell a patient to check out at that same desk as I was walking away and I told her, "Don't bother, no one has been there for almost 10 min and there was no sign."
I then checked in at the first floor and then went to the imaging center. I was called in about 11:10 (my appointment was for 11, but that is normal, no big deal to me). Barbara, the x-ray tech instructed me what to do and I waited in the waiting area near the dressing rooms. Then I remembered that this was a completely different section/waiting area than I had been in prior years and the MAIN reason that I waited so long for this appointment! Barbara then comes back to get me and I proceed to ask her. What happen to the "spa like area" that one normally sits in when coming for a mammogram. She said, "Oh that is in the back. I don't have time to go get people from over there. They (I do not know who she was referring to) don't get you dressed and ready so I have you wait here." By here, she meant the general public x-ray area. I proceeded to tell her, "Well that is the whole reason I waited 2 MONTHS for this appointment, otherwise I would have just made my appointment somewhere else, a lot sooner!" She then proceeds to tell me, "Yeah, I am swamped, because so many ladies come to this facility for their mammo's." UH, YEAH, and if that is the case then why are you not taking women to the area where they should be waiting? That is part making a dreadful experience a bit more bearable and why so many of us wait a long time for this appointment & choose this facility in the first place! That is not okay. That is false advertisement. Then she proceeded to tell me after imaging, "It is just too far for me to go way back there when I am working by myself and have so many patients." When I got dressed I purposely went "WAY back there" to see how far it was. It was literally 15 steps from that waiting room to the imaging room!! Which was only about 7 steps less than from the area in which she retrieved me from. That is taking away from the patient's experience and pure laziness. So again, as stated in one of my earlier reviews about the Kramer/Anaheim location, this has been a recent trend for the last year or more. Kaiser, you need to do better! Either get enough employees to work, like an assistant for Babara to "get them dressed", or properly train them, and check up on them randomly for quality assurance. This poor customer service is really getting tiresome.

I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Fernandez, Kaiser Permanente Cerritos. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt welcomed and at ease. Dr. Fernandez is not only highly knowledgeable but also takes the time to listen and thoroughly address all concerns. Their professionalism, empathy, and genuine care for their patients set them apart. The staff was equally friendly and efficient, ensuring a smooth visit from start to finish. I am so grateful to have found such a compassionate and skilled doctor and would highly recommend Dr. Fernandez and Kaiser Permanente to anyone looking for exceptional care

I am unhappy with the care I received from Dr. Denise Park. My experience with her was unacceptable, and I will not be recommending her to anyone. During my appointment, she seemed disinterested and uninformed about my medical history. She failed to recognize my symptoms and prescribed medication without a proper diagnosis. I had to request that she run tests for me, which she did reluctantly. Even after the test results were in, she still had no idea what was wrong with me. She prescribed medication without knowing the root cause of my illness. I eventually left Kaiser and switched to a different insurance plan because of Dr. Park's incompetence. My new doctor diagnosed me with lupus and put me on the right medication, and I am now doing much better. I do not recommend Dr. Denise Park; she is unprofessional, lacks knowledge, and does not care about her patients' well-being.
She is lucky I gave her 1 star

Dr. Denise Park is my Doctor and I have her for about 25 years. For all these years she has take care of me very well. Besides that she has a friendly personality, and can make you laugh, she is a head to toe Doctor. She check my past and new history make and answer questions and is with me or check on me till I’m okay. She is very competent.
Thank you Dr. Clark!

I would like to share my experience with Dr. Jennifer Tan and Dr. Denise Park. Unfortunately, I felt that my concerns regarding chronic pain and hypothyroidism were not adequately addressed. During my visits, I often felt dismissed, and Dr. Park appeared disinterested when I inquired about my symptoms, including significant swelling in my legs and numbness in my fingers.
Despite my request for further testing to identify the root cause of my thyroid issues, Dr. Park opted to change my medication without exploring my concerns in depth. When I mentioned that a specialist had already adjusted my medication and that my condition had worsened, she left the room, stating she had other patients to attend to.
I have since filed a grievance regarding my treatment and have decided to change doctors in search of more comprehensive care. I hope my new provider will take the time to investigate my health concerns thoroughly. I encourage others to consider their needs when choosing a healthcare provider.
