I’m a white woman with two very young children. I’ve always been treated oddly coming to this clinic. As if I don’t belong there. Not the nurses but the front of house staff. They have suddenly refused vaccines for my kids after I’d been going there for a long time. Even though I don’t have traditional health insurance, I am not allowed to bring my kids there for service. MY taxes (and yours) pays for this clinic to operate, exist and it is a “public” clinic. I’ve always felt the front of staff treat me like “why are you here, you are white”. I am actually also an immigrant to this country (arrived at the age of 31 in 2012) and we can’t afford vaccines elsewhere. So much for social healthcare Newsom. The state expresses the importance of vaccines for kids. The kids can’t go to school or preschool without them but unless you’re an undocumented worker or so poor you can’t afford groceries, then you can’t use this “public” service. We are not wealthy either. But we can buy groceries- at places like Grocery Outlet. We can’t though, afford expensive and recurring kids vaccines. Where is the middle ground?

Called Ventura County Public Health flu shot appointment number and found it was not working. Went as a walk-in to get shot at Gonzales Rd. Oxnard clinic. Checked in and waited for almost 1 1/2 hours. Talked to receptionist asked for an estimated time for my turn. She told me she had no idea. I left without getting vaccinated; wait was unreasonable considering they had low-moderate traffic. Disappointed with service and more when you consider the county’s push for people to get vaccinated.

Everytime I try to access the site it says my access is blocked. I have never been to the site before, so it must be broken. One time it said I was blacklisted.

The receptionist are very rude. They should be selected better stuff specifically when their job is to help people.

La señora Ross que está de recepcionista me hizo esperar más de 2 horas !!!
Cuando llegue les dije que no tenía cita,, me dijeron espere sentada !!
Al mirar que pasaba el tiempo y no me atendían,, pero pasaban a otras personas que iban llegando sin cita !!🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Voy y pregunto cuando me toca mi turno

Solo 1 vacuna para mi niño,, me quita el récord de vacunas ,, me lo regresa diciendo, que eso no lo necesita !!😳🤔🤔 me pregunta.. tienes aseguranza?

Le digo que en efectivo 💵 y eso hizo que asta se rascara la frente ( como frustrada )😳🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
Y me mandan a sentarme de nuevo!!
Después de 2 horas de espera, me dan papeleo para llenar.
Y al regresarlo me dicen que están 5 personas con cita , antes que yo !!!😳🤦🏻‍♀️
Y que falta poco para cerrar !!🤦🏻‍♀️
Que se tardaban en llenar papeleo para la ayuda de el gobierno para que me pagara mis vacunas 🤔
A lo que yo conteste irónicamente.. no estoy pidiendo ayuda de el gobierno!!!!!
Necesita mi Niño 1 vacuna!! Y yo traigo $$$ para pagar !!
Su excusa era,, que no tenían tiempo porque tenía que cerrar la caja registradora 💵 y que solo con aseguranza podrían atenderme 😳🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
Que pena que solo trabajen por recibir cheque.
Si no te gusta dar servicio al cliente ?no busques trabajo de recepcionista!!📣
