I thought we’d be meeting Dr Brana, who I heard was great but met the PA Michelle Fishman instead and I’m not a fan of her due to her demeanor. I work in a facility for the elderly, where I genuinely care for my patients. Recently, I was asked to accompany a resident to her doctor’s appointment since her family member couldn’t make it, and our facility didn’t charge for this service. However, Dr. Fishman quickly judged me for not bringing the discharge paper and criticized me in front of my patient. I find her rude. I acknowledge my oversight, but I believe this assistant could have addressed it in a more professional manner especially if she truly cares for her patients wholistically as what she claims.
I told her that my patient had about 3 recent visits to the hospital one of which is a fall but she didn’t have x ray done which she said “hard to believe”. My patient was complaining of body pain even after the visit so I had to take my patient after about 3 days to CMH where the service and staff were great, I requested to have the xray done and they saw 2 fractures . Unfortunately, she passed a few days after.
