I had a wonderful experience at Sun Medical Supplies. They were super friendly and knowledgeable and helped me get things for my father recovering from bypass surgery. I also bought a lift recliner from them and several days after buying it realized I needed a different model. On March 14, 2024 I ordered and paid for a knee brace. I was told it would take a week to receive it. Today April 3 three weeks later I went to Sun medical supplies to pick it up. Not only did they try to give me the wrong one it was a small and I ordered a large.. That’s when the employee states. Oh yeah, I see it in the computer. You ordered a large and this is a small.. So they tried to substitute a cheaper knee brace from the one I had originally ordered. At that point, I said, just give me my money back, Which the employee did. Seems ridiculous. You wait three weeks to get a simple knee brace and they can’t get it right.

My wife just had a major back operation, and was released from the hospital with a need for a porta potty and walker. We made two separate visits to Sun Medical Supplies and purchased a $90 potty and $147 walker with tax. We also obtained a doctor 'referral' for a porta potty and a walker. Then at home I was ready to file a claim for insurance coverage. I found out from medicare that i as an ordinary citizen cannot file a medicare insurance claim, and that it has to come from either the hospital or a medicare licensed supplier. Why wasn't I told this by Sun? So I called Sun and told them that I needed to have them send in my claim. I was told that Medicare does not cover porta potties. So then I tried to get them to handle only the walker. Then I found out that the walker I purchased is not on their vendor's list of items which have a medical code for insurance coverage although usually the cheaper walkers (which is what I purchased) ARE covered. But for some reason, I was sold a walker made in China by Rollator and it does not have this code. Sun had ample opportunity to inform me at the time of purchase about the medicare non-insurance coverage of their items. Plus, they seem to only want your money and then leave, only to discover later that they sold you non-medically insurance recoverable items. Why didn't the sales person inform me about this even though I made it clear that I was going to file an insurance claim? Schlock outfit--shop elsewhere before buying from them.

We would like to thank and acknowledge Benjamin Soria, Manager of the Beaumont Sun Medical Supplies. My
"adopted" mom has severe dementia, resides in a memory care unit and her condition has worsened recently. Within a weeks span, we had to quickly purchase a shower chair, bedside commode, bedrails, a foam bed wedge and 2 bed alarm systems. Benjamin was there each time we visited the Beaumont store and helped us with each purchase. He quickly put together products for us, making it so easy for us to deliver the products to her immediately.
Benjamin always has a smile on his face, is professional, knowledgeable and extremely courteous each time we visit the beautiful store! He is always empathetic to our needs, and goes above and beyond to ensure we purchased products that would meet her needs!
On the same day we purchased the bedrails and foam bed wedge, my "adopted" mom was put on hospice. The hospice company delivered a hospital bed within a few hours of our Sun Medical Supply purchase. So the following day we returned to the store to inquire about returning the bedrails and foam bed wedge, since they were not needed. Benjamin happily did the return, and was so warm and friendly. We have used other medical supply stores, but never one that is as well stocked, affordable and staffed with such wonderful people as Benjamin. As a store manager, Benjamin represents everything that is great for representing your company! He needs to be commended and recognized for his exemplary customer service skills, professionalism and product knowledge! We will definitely recommend Beaumont Sun Medical Supplies to our family, friends and neighbors!
I am on two committees that sponsor health fairs for our Four Seasons 55+ Community in Beaumont. I asked Benjamin if he would be interested in being a vendor at our 2024 health fair, and he said yes. I look forward to working with Benjamin so that he can show our beautiful community what a treasure we have in having Sun Medical Supplies right here so close to us!
