Be prepared to be underwhelmed and overcharged. Absolutely the worst experience. I don't know how I stayed with this practice as long as I did. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and hoped things would get better. Let me be clear, the office staff is wonderful, sweet and professional. It was only Dr. Burgess I had a bad experience with. I found her to be rude, unprofessional and unwilling to listen to her patients. She would be lovely one minute, then snap at me the next. It was like pulling teeth to get orders for diagnostics or referrals. Not to mention she often filled out paperwork/referrals incorrectly, so I had to go behind her and fix errors. I regularly had to go to Prompt Care and use Teledoc for simple things like antibiotics because she didn't want to do anything. I took my daughter for help with hormones and to establish primary care, but she told my daughter she was fat and didn't order labs or refer her to an endocrinologist. Then we were overcharged for the visit as she does not have a contract with the insurance company like we were originally told. For me, she treated me like nothing was wrong with me until I had to print out my MRI results myself and hand deliver them. She would also give absurd "medical advice" like "just stretch your neck" for my disc herniations. Wow, why didn't I think of that! It was an exhausting full time job getting anything done with this office. I've been in the medical field for 24 years and have never seen such an inept practice. I am happily with another PCP and had all my needs taken care of within minutes. Having a good doctor now truly opened my eyes to how bad it was with Dr. Burgess. Nothing personal. I wish her all the best and hope no one else is treated poorly.

Both Dr. Burgess and Ava Schmidt are awesome practitioners. They really listen to their patients and work with you to create a care plan that is not just a standard throw a pill at it response. They are very compassionate and attentive to the needs of their patients!

During my first visit w/ Dr. Buoyant she did not want to listen to me and interrupted me. At one point I told her that it was extremely difficult to find an Osteopath. She literally went ballistic, like red in the face angry. She explained that she was not an osteopath SHE was a medical doctor & had gone to Medical school. I just sat there stunned & didn't say another word. And just to correct the assumption that Osteopath do not have medical degrees. They do. In fact they have to take the exam to become a medical doctor AND an exam to be an Osteopath. So two doctors for price of one. I never went back.

When our primary care doctor of 20+ years recently passed away unexpectedly we were anxious about finding someone who would be willing to continue managing my wife's complicated medical conditions. Ava Schmidt spent a remarkable amount of time getting to know us and our history. She has been wonderfully supportive and caring.
