My sister in law has had two very unfortunate situations with Ms. Cruse. One of which was potentially life threatening to an unborn child. Ms. Cruse was a fill in for my sister in laws pregnancy as her main doctor was on maternity leave. My sister in law was an at risk pregnancy. Roughly three months into the pregnancy my sister in laws mucus plug came out and her amniotic fluid was leaking. My sister in law consulted Ms. Cruse about it and she told my sister that it was normal and to not worry. We learned that this was NOT normal and this missing mucus plug led to my neice being born severely premature at 24 weeks.
For the second situation my sister in laws knee was having severe pain and mobility issues after taking a bad awkward step. Her knee buckled and she knew something was wrong. After going to the Enloe ER in Chico, my sister in law was told that she would have a follow up with her primary doctor, and during the visit the ER officials recommended an MRI. Unfortunately my sister in law was made to see Ms. Cruse again. Once again my sister in laws worries were dismissed. Ms. Cruse said that nothing was torn and that there was no need to get and MRI.
It turns out my sister in law had two torn ligaments in her knee, requiring two different surgeries. My sister in law was made to walk on two torn ligaments due to Ms. Cruse's oversight.
It is my opinion that at the very least Ms. Cruse disregarded valid worries that a patient had. One of which could have been life threatening to my unborn neice, who was born severely premature. I would recommend if anybody feels that they are not being heard by Ms. Cruse, they should get a second opinion ASAP. I hope This PA does better in the future, especially with pregnant women.
