I was in so much pain from hemorrhoids for almost a month and a half. I saw Dr. Matthews and he was able to help me (won't go into much detail) with the issue. Dr. Harry Lomas was great. His whole staff and everyone I dealt with made me feel comfortable. When you have to go five days a week for several weeks, you don't want to feel like just a customer. They made me feel like friends and was nice to see them every morning. I will miss that part.

I was referred here by my gp who also ordered an MRI for a mass on my leg. I found Dr. Matthews dismissive when he explained, after he reviewed the mri, that it was not what my gp suspected it was. While this was a relief to me, he acted as if I was wasting his valuable time. I didn’t request to see an oncologist, my gp referred me. I had to pry answers out if him. He could have called me and explained rather than having me come in if it was such an inconvenience. I can only guess Valor wanted to bill my insurance for his valuable 10 minutes. When I was diagnosed with another cancer a couple of years ago, I’m grateful my ob gyn referred me to an oncologist in Sacramento. Completely different and positive experience. No way would I ever go to Dr matthews if I were ill again.

Dr Lomas spent such good quality time with us. Never felt rushed. Made us feel at ease, very informative, gave us so much hope and was very upbeat and postive. The staff was great as well. A happy outcome and experience we will always remember. Thank you Valor Oncology!!!
