Drove over an hour to have an MRI at the Bartow location and Iām so glad that I did. Iām am extremely claustrophobic and was very nervous about the procedure. I asked the young lady conducting the MRI (Miss Ceron) if she could make sure I didnāt visually see the MRI machine. I had brought a mask and taken a Xanax. I asked if I could cover my eyes with the mask and if she could guide me to the machine. I know the requests sounds weird but this is the only way for me. Miss Ceron was extremely kind and did just that! I also needed an IV for contrast and had the blown the only good vein in my āgood armā from a previous hospital visit. Not a problem! Miss Ceron put in an order to have the IV done via sonogram with Mrs. Lugenia Gibbsā¦.fantastic! I didnāt feel a thing. This was the best care I have gotten in a long time and I greatly appreciated the staffās kindness and professionalism.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding a comment made to my mother during her recent visit. She mentioned that she was told to wear shorts next time to make things easier for the staff. While I understand the intention may have been practical, Iād like to kindly point out that it made her feel uncomfortable and self-conscious. At 88 years old, she dresses according to her comfort and the weather, and I believe patients should never feel criticized for that. We appreciate the care she receives, but I ask that future requests be made with more sensitivity and respect for her dignity.

After arriving in 12/23/24 I was wheeled into the hospital of bartow at approximately 515 pm. After being wheeled to the check in desk and I got a wristband, I went straight to the room.however, as the time went on and I had the initial visits, The labs ordered, and xray taken, first meds give(as well as a blood thinner), and IV started the RN Stephen and Samuel did phenomenal, consistentlty checking vitals and making sure I could still breathe with the support of the RT Nina. Later I did ask for a flush of my IV before being moved, and when doing so there was no cap on my port, the nurse did not sterilize the port nor did they wear gloves. After about 4 hours I got admitted for what I was told to be monitoring and antibiotics. Apon arriving to the room 206 I was greeted my a green scrub nurse in training who set me up with water and sheets. Later another nurse came in and gave my a gist of what the orders said. ( I had a prn inhaler, and at 6 am a steroid will be administered) vitals were taken and they offered me food as I had just been cleared to eat. I told them I have my respiratory aunt coming and she can grab something and they left. At about 11 I was having difficulty breathing and requested a nebulizer and the RT Theresa brought me an inhaler. When I asked for clarification of why Iām getting an inhaler and not a nebulizer the RT informed me that the inhaler is just as effective. However studies have shown Because it's easier to take in the medication, they can deliver a more accurate dose. Inhalers, on the other hand, require coordination and correct technique in order to deliver the right amount of medication.
Through out the night and into the early no one checked in the room at all, when questioned the ACU charger nurse Karen Doly was very short with responses oh why I was in the acu with little to no monitoring. I had not been hooked up to any monitors or observed. which is what I was told i was there for. between the hours of 1130-445 there was no āobservingā. When asked the plan of care for me it was explained by the charge nurse that the NP did not order any monitors nor antibiotics, and vitals to only be taken every 8 hoursā¦. After I was admitted for breathing issues⦠which in my opinion should be monitored (as I do at home and they had done in the ER). I could have been ACTUALLY observed at home by myself with my own actual monitors and if any problems were to arise I would go to a different hospital. The security is amazing and the er was very attentive. However acu night shift was FAR FROM the best Iāve experienced.
The shower has vomit chunks on the floor, the toilet had mold growing around the seal, the handle bar next to the toilet had dust and handprints as through its not cleaned between pts, there a rib bone on the floor next to the bed (I had a Wendyās salad for dinner not ribsā¦)

The customer service at this facility was great for my motherās tonsillectomy this morning. The entire team from walking in the door was very friendly, helpful and professional. Katherine, Althea, Debra, Robin, Patricia, Lori, Dr. Fennig, Dr. Jean, Lisa and Jennifer. Althea was wonderful at putting the IV in her arm which is no easy task with her small and rolling veins. Katherine was the best. Her bedside manner was very welcoming and put us all at ease. Lori was very pleasant and made sure that my mother was comfortable had everything she needed. We couldnāt be any happier with the treatment we received.

My family member had surgery here and we felt the staff was very informative and took great care of her. I want to specifically mention Nurse Jennifer, Nurse Brooke and Nurse Evelyn. They all showed compassion, empathy, and made us feel very comfortable throughout the process.

Very quick and compassionate attention by emergency room staff. Frequent contact during stay in ER. Hospital Room was spacious and clean. Again, attention from staff was excellent. Everyone was kind and compassionate. The food was excellent!! The Emergency department is quite small but I understand improvements are coming soon.

The people here really cared about me, not just the procedure. I was asked if I needed anything several times as they could see I was not feeling well. I so appreciate your attention as I am not one to complain and you just knew what I needed before I did. And you were all so professional and made sure I knew what was happening and asking if there were any concerns. Thank you so much for your kindness and caring.

I was recently at Bartow Regional Medical on 3-13-25 for a procedure. I was treated with such grace and dignity from the ladies that cared for me. They even signed a thank you note to me for allowing them the privilege to care for me. Wow! Thank you Kristin, Lori, Leslie, Yani and Althea for the excellent care I received. You ladies ROCK!!!!
