My mom has been with Leon medical center for a long time.
They truly don't care about their patients all they care is how much money they can get Every patient at leon medical center is just a number with a dollar sign. Let me give you some examples.My mom will see her doctor every 6 months. That's how far they extend her appointments, they keep her on the same medications for years on. In. Even when the medication stops working and there's so much more I can mention, I truly don't recommend via on medical senate to anyone.

These medical centers are disrespectful. They cancelled my mother's rehabilitation because they say she no longer needed it and can barely walk (hip surgery). When the patient really needs their services, that's when the problems begin. They don't want to pay, and the excuses start, and they say they're going to start the therapy. Does she need it or not? It's all a lie. Be careful about putting your relatives in this center.

Avoid Leon Medical – They Failed My Father

My father suffered unnecessary pain for over a year due to Leon Medical’s misdiagnosis. They insisted his leg pain was a back issue, delaying the proper treatment he actually needed—a hip replacement. It wasn’t until we sought a second opinion at Baptist that we learned the truth. Only then did Leon Medical finally acknowledge he needed surgery, but they still refused to approve it, citing cardiology clearance issues.

We had no choice but to switch him to United, who promptly approved the procedure. He successfully underwent surgery and is now pain-free—something Leon Medical failed to provide. Their misdiagnosis and refusal to act prolonged his suffering.

I would not recommend Leon Medical. They might be fine for basic care, but when it comes to real medical issues, they fall short—at the expense of their patients’ well-being.

Horrible. My grandmother started experiencing delusions and trouble sleeping. This trouble would last a week and come back every month. They shrugged this off as normal signs of aging and never respected my concerns. She clearly had dementia, I believe lewy body dementia specifically but why is it they never looked into it or diagnosed her until it got severely bad where now she's in an almost constant state of delusions and hallucinations. They don't actually care to find out what's wrong with your loved one. They just want to do their cute little job and go home. They are not interested in the real work of doctors.

Run !! Don’t let you parents or loved ones enroll with anything that involves this clinic. It’s a trap. Your loved one’s are nothing but a number and they are enrolling into nothing but lies. Ultimately, they are agreeing to a death sentence. God forbid your parents need lifesaving treatment that costs money. They decide if you live or if your time is up.

I wish I could reply to some people who have had similar issues . My advise is if your loved has been injured due to malpractice and still alive, sue them while you still can. You parents are being abused or abandoned.

It is very ironic that this place embraces the commitment they have towards the elderly but provide highly saturated fat foods everyday that are high in sugar and salt to those who shouldn’t be eating that as an option in the first place. On the other hand, my friend’s parent was never informed about the abnormal blood test results, only to find out later on when he received treatment outside Leon due to his aggravated health condition. My family member was also mistreated by one of the transportation staff members when the employees should show only respect and professionalism towards the patients. They advertise themselves as a 5-star healthcare service provider with an unparalleled care when in fact they are far from it! Beware!

Dad has been with Leon Medical since January 2020, very healthy individual, never has been sick. Staff at Leon has been great and doctors are knowledgeable and good bedside manners. Here is the reason Leon is not getting a five stars for a review. I’ve noticed that soon into and after the Covid Pandemic their customer service had a 360 degree change, calls did not make sense and always getting things incorrect, nonetheless since I have always been my dad transportation and care taker I never made a case with it. Recently to be exact 30 days ago my dad had a bad fall and ended in the hospital, then a Rehabilitation Center and now a five star ALF in Miami. Although my dad has gotten the medical attention and necessities needed, the process has been a nightmare with the telephone customer service employees; taken meds to wrong addresses, canceling Neurologist appointments without previous notice, transportation not showing up, transportation going to the wrong addresses, rescheduled lab works without making sense, so far as of this morning no rehabilitation staff from Leon shown at the ALF when they called and said we’re going over last week on Friday, trust me in 30 days I have plenty of names and for the telephone customer service department with plenty of bad experiences, however in person at the centers is a totally different experience, they do seemed to know what they do and are very helpful.
With all the above being said, it seems like Leon Medical is not choosing their telephone customer service staff carefully, it seems those people either don’t care, had no good basic training and or understanding of their job or are just plain not up to such positions, at times it seems that an HR representative stands in a street corner and just hires anyone that walks by. One more time the telephone customer service process needs to be re-evaluated to make sure Leon Medical keeps their place in today’s busy industry, let’s remember every empire has an end, and things like this can very well send Leon Medical now competing with many others in the market to no longer be the number one.
I really appreciate if top senior managers from Leon would contact me and I will gladly provide all details with names, dates and hour of my negative and positive experiences, and perhaps moving forward we can get the customer service on the phone to check the Leon application and talk to other departments within Leon before making silly, confusing and errors with their phone call to families with love ones in need of Medical assistance.

The comment stated above that the staff is extremely organized and friendly, clearly comes from an employee, because none of it is true in fact, it is the complete opposite. The service, customer service and administration no longer exits at Leon Medical Center. The customer services representatives give no valid information, they provide no ACCURATE INFORMATION FOR IMPORTANT APPOINTMENT FOR THE ELDERLY. My father is very ill and needed to attend an appointment provided months ago. First call from Leon the appointment is at 7:30 am.
Second call from the surgeons office, the appointment is at 11:00 am.
Third call from Leon, the appointment is at 10:30. Upon arrival, they did not have the appointment scheduled at the location where it was supposed to be, they had no information in their system and when confronted with this negligence the so-called "professional representatives" do not look at you in the face to give you an explanation they simply give horrific attitude. This has got to be the most horrific medical facility to have your parents enrolled in. All they care about is VOLUME to squeeze money from medicaid and medicare from, assurance that they have enough pastries and cafe con leche to bribe those elders that still function well. My parents have been in this country for 65 years and this is definitely not the treatment they are use too. Can someone tell me why there is a bakery inside. This is only the first of my complaint. I will write to Albert Maury copy the entire administration and BBB.
