Hi. I am the daughter Sharon King and caregiver to my mother Rosalie King. My mother has Alzheimer's and is bed bound and home bound. For years it was a challenge to find transportation to get her basic medical care. If she needed to see a Dr I had to pay for an ambulance to do so. This was expensive, overwhelming and confusing for her. Any change in her environment or new faces would be frightening. I needed home visits that were not available through her insurance.

Then one day three years ago my mother's case manager from her insurance contacted me and informed me there was a new program available called YPIH through Total Health Medical Center at the Kendall location. This new program was contracted through her insurance to specifically help bed bound and home bound patients who were unable to go and receive medical care.They would send to your home a APRN who would provide house visits, check ups, lab orders, write referrals, write orders and tend to all of her medical care needs.

Idania Perez-Burgos APRN is our medical professional. She and the YPIH Program were the answer to all of my prayers. She not only makes house visits, she takes care of every aspect of my mother's health. She prepares a Treatment Plan, reviews the plan in detail with me and follows up with any necessary labs. She does not rush during the home visit and always does a thorough medical history review. She always follows up to see how my mother is progressing after her visits.

Idania Perez-Burgos APRN always responds to my texts, phone calls or photos in question with a thorough answer and explanation. Although her job is to care for my mother she also cares for me, the daughter/caregiver. Her advice and recommendations are invaluable and her encouragement well appreciated.

She started out as our medical professional Registered Practical Nurse but along the way she became a part of our family. When my mother sees her come in, her face lights up. Without her attentive care I do not know if my mother would still be here. This YPIH Program saved both of our lives. The struggle to provide medical attention to home bound family members is so hard. I would like to highly recommend this program to any family in a similar situation. It is a godsend. I am forever grateful to Idania Perez-Burgos APRN. Do not hesitate to sign up. She will change your life for the better!

My 100 year old father-in-law, Jose Guillen Sr, lives with us and medical care has been so difficult because his mobility is limited. We found Total Health Medical and it was such a blessing! After trying so many things, we finally got the medical help he needed. Through the YPIH program, Idania Perez-Burgos, APRN comes to our home and provides the most thorough care we have EVER experienced. She spends the time needed to really get to know her patients and family. After the first assessment, she ordered various tests by various providers and our home was quite busy that week with all types of mobile testing right here in our home. He is now receiving wound care, his medicines have been adjusted and he is on a new regimen specifically designed for him. We can not say enough about Idania and Total Health Medical Centers!!

My family and I had a pleasant experience with this clinic. The minute you register, you can tell already that the staff cares, they are helpful and attentive to your needs. Dad needed to see a PCP asap prior to a scheduled procedure and I have never encountered professionalism and compassion to its finest. Dr. Rafael Burgos was very helpful, empathetic and compassionate to my parents. "Bedside manners" was 10/10, all questions and concerns were addressed appropriately. The staff was very helpful especially Maite Rankin who went over and beyond her job title just so my father can see a PCP at the last minute. Overall, I am forever grateful for all the staff and recommends this place.

I highly recommend Total Health Medical Center Kendall & Idania Perez-Burgos APRN. My father, Gregorio Meszen has been under her care for the past two years & it has been nothing but a miracle. My dad's health has improved and his hospital visits have declined. My father having alzheimer's and dementia and diabetes hasn’t been the easiest theses past years but with Idanias help it has been more than great. If I can put 10 stars in this review I would.
