As a 15 year old, my experiences with therapy haven’t been the best. I’ve tried multiple therapists, but by far this has been the best counseling area/therapist I have had. Shari has been an amazing therapist and the rooms/overall area for New Leaf is so comforting and welcoming.

I have gone back and forth if I should write this review or not. I now think it is necessary for future patients. My almost 13 year old daughter at the time was seeing Carmen (for maybe 6 sessions) and liked the progress she was making because Carmen was doing a great job. I had texted Carmen to have her call me to discuss a question that I had. She called me on March 20, 2023 and the conversation was short and cordial. A couple weeks later I receive a letter in the mail stating very vaguely that as of March 20th they can no longer see my daughter because a "parent was blatantly disrespectful", with no other information given. This came as a shock to say the least. I have tried calling, leaving a voicemail, texted Carmen, and emailed Carmen and the owner asking what happened. They have not returned any form of communication with me. They have no idea the damage this did to not only my daughter's mental health but mine as well. I would love to get some answers so I can put this to rest.

I have major issues. Just walked out of a session with "Katie." My names Gram. Recovering your soul is hard, but I don't like being pushed into something I don't want to do and deal with an attitude from the professional, when I voice I'm not comfortable doing it. I just had an immature outburst which I regret. But If you're having a bad day, I empathize, but don't take it out on me please and sorry my progress isn't to your liking. Won't be back but wish everyone the best.
