What a great office with good communication and staff who is present to help the patient not just herd them in and out like cattle. The process of making an appointment went smoothly and I was able to get in when my schedule allowed. I had two questions written down to discuss and I was happily surprised when Dr. Lupo took the time to respond to my questions and explain everything during the visit. I plan on continuing to see her in the future and if you are looking for a new gynecologist, I would recommend her. I haven't had any issue with the insurance so I am assuming they do a good job taking care of that. They were going through some construction in the office when I was here, so I will get an updated picture on next visit.

I called to make a new patient OB appointment and was denied. I expressed my concern for preclampsia, as im a "geriatric" mother and was told to go to the ER. Being concerned about my health and the health my unborn baby, I went. NOTHING was wrong. I was treated for a migraine and nausea that incurred us a $900 medical bill, which could have been avoided with a simple in-patient assessment.
Although, I'm glad to know that the doctors here are not capable or willing to attend to anything less than a textbook pregnancy.

I wanted to share my exceptional care I received during and after my robotic hysterectomy from Dr Luthringshausen. I was very anxious about having surgery, and to my pleasant surprise my recovery's was much easier than I imagined . I was initially skeptical about how smoothly the recovery process was described to me -- it seemed too good to be true--but it turned out exactly how Dr Luthringhshausen had explained.

I experienced minimal pain thanks to the pain management protocol, especially the use of the lidocaine pump, which I understand few doctor use with this type of surgery. This made a significant difference in my recovery. I was up and moving comfortably and even took a 20 minute walk five days after my surgery. While I felt more tired than usual, I otherwise felt great.

I am incredibly grateful for Dr Luthringshausen's expertise and her mastering the minimally invasive robotic hysterectomy. For anyone one needing a hysterectomy, I would strongly encourage them to trust Dr Luthringshausen with your surgery and care.

I just had a baby 2 months ago and I have been making payments monthly online but apparently they weren’t applying them to the oldest bills so now I have been told if I don’t pay in full they will send to collections and charge 30% for sending it. What a joke. If you could find a different OB facility I would!

I first started with womancare on Arlington hts road 30 years ago. So, when my doctor retired, I switched Dr Luthringshausen on Rand Rd. She is very kind, thorough and gives excellent care. I would highly recommend her.

I am filing a complaint against Dr. Claudine M. Kasinak, MD.

I had a polyp removal surgery in June 2024, and an ablation procedure was done without my consent, even though I denied it twice and now I can no longer have periods. This has had a big impact on my physical and emotional health.
I was never informed during the pre-op that this could happen. Even after the surgery, I wasn’t told that an ablation had been performed. I only found out a month later when I experienced uncontrollable abdominal pain, nausea, and fatigue. I went to see Dr. Novak (another doctor at Womancare), who revealed the truth through an ultrasound and informed me that the cause of my issues was the ablation that had been performed, even though I have clear evidence, including doctor’s notes, showing I refused the procedure.

For the past four months, I have been trying to contact Womancare and NCH to resolve this, but no one has responded. Since I can’t find an email to report this privately, I am sharing my complaint here publicly.

Now, I feel extremely nauseous and lethargic on the days when I would typically have my periods. I’m not sure how my body is reacting or where to seek help. I feel scared and hesitant to trust doctors!!

I’ve noticed replies to reviews and hope someone will finally respond and take action. I need a full investigation and an explanation of how this happened. Please let me know the next steps.

January 20, 2025 - Updated Review:

I initially left this review due to a procedure I explicitly refused, the ablation, which was performed without my consent during surgery. After my post-op follow-up, I discovered that I had lost my menstrual health entirely, which has caused significant physical and emotional harm.
I was contacted by Dr. Kasinak today—three weeks after this review and six months after the procedurewho stated that I signed consent forms for the ablation. However, I want to emphasize that I clearly denied this procedure during my pre-op consultation, as documented in my records. Signing forms in a rushed pre-surgical environment does not negate my explicit refusal.

Despite the doctor's offer of another appointment and medication to manage the symptoms, I do not feel that this addresses the severity of the harm caused by this unauthorized procedure. I was never informed that this could result in permanent loss of menstruation, and I now face debilitating symptoms that affect my daily life.

This experience has left me feeling betrayed, and I hope that the practice will take meaningful steps to resolve the harm caused. I no longer feel safe or respected as a patient at this practice, and I will not return.

Went in 2022 or 2023 for a yearly check, the elderly OGBYN shamed me for having my tubes tied years earlier, saying "why would you do that do yourself, you should be having children." I thought we believed in my body, my choice in Illinois?

Tried going again in 2024 to a different doctor, Ashley Abrahms in Killdeer, for replacement of my hormonal IUD. Despite informing her that I had to be dilated and given opioids for pain management last time and that I wanted that, she claimed she was known for getting IUDs in in under 2 minutes. Took her 45 minutes to get it inserted while I was screaming in pain and I was told "you should tell them to dialate you next time" and that the facility couldn't provide more than Tylenol for pain.

Also, I'm nonbinary, and I feel very excluded and uncomfortable going to "WomanCare" - can't y'all rename, it's not gender inclusive. And why can't your records system connect to the rest of the NCH MyChart system?
