I went into the E.R. for severe abdominal pain this past Monday. I had to have emergency surgery to have my appendix removed. The nurses and staff were so kind. The male E.R. nurse I had was so kind and patient. I was happy he was the nurse. HE helped me to be less worried. The staff on the same day surgery unit were nice. They were often checking on me and asking me if I needed anything. I KINDA didn't want to leave. Thanks to all the staff. Each of you were amazing. That was my first experience staying in a hospital. All the staff helped to make me comfortable. THE DR. and the staff during surgery were the best. They explained everything to me and they were comforting. Thanks again DCH staff.

Dr. Marchino in the ER was absolutely awful. We brought in our 5 month old for a peanut allergy. Our pediatrician in Bloomington said to start peanut butter at 4 months. Instead of caring for our daughter who was on the hospital bed, the doctor was very accusatory and asking why we gave her peanut butter so early. I explained our pediatrician recommended it and he said he’s never heard of that and acted like we made it up. Her hives had gone down so I tried to show him a picture and he barely bothered to look. They then left us in a room alone with her for 30 minutes. The doctor came in and said he googled it and we were correct but he didn’t know. The nurse came in and said “you guys taught me something tonight.” We will be disputing this bill because they did nothing besides ridicule us and WE taught them something. Take your little ones somewhere they will be properly cared for and supported!

I really appreciated the ER staff! Even tho they are undergoing a remodel that affects their working space, they were very attentive & thorough with my dad, who was experiencing Afib. Got him a room in Acute Care in a timely manner.

The room was very nice! Clean & recently updated. All the staff were very helpful, kind & conscientious. So much so, I left Dad there overnight so I could get some rest, knowing he was in good hands. More than one doctor visited us with thorough explanations as to what might be going on. Things went well & Dad went home the next day. BTW, he loved the food!

I went a few weeks ago and they went above and beyond. The new ER was super clean and set up great and had me in a room immediately and within an hour had pain under control and all tests ran. They have came a long way and I don’t feel the need to go out of town to the ER anymore. Awesome job!!!

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the outstanding care I received during my visit to the ER early Saturday morning. I came in believing I was dealing with a kidney stone, and from the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly efficient. I was taken to a room within just five minutes.

My nurse, Jill, was exceptional—she did everything possible to alleviate my pain, which was the worst I’ve ever experienced. The technician who performed my CT scan was also fantastic. Dr. Kem Benham was kind and thorough, explaining everything I needed to know and making me feel at ease. Finally, Caitlin was wonderful in assisting me with my discharge.

In just about two hours, I went from severe pain to walking out the door, and I was able to pass the kidney stone shortly after I got home. I truly appreciate the dedication and professionalism of the entire team that took care of me that day. Thank you for all you do!

I have been trying to get a medication filled since November that was prescribed to me. Still no luck. The behavioral health team is horrible. No one answers the phone so a message is left and then no one returns it. No one should have to wait 5 months to get a medication that they need due to laziness.

I just moved here. And had to come in to the ER. At first was treated nicely getting checked in. As soon as I got brought back I got accused of drinking too much and that the issues i am having is due to anxiety and a headache that literally just came on as i was being checked in. He did not want to listen to anything I had to say. They do not have my info or chart yet because of me literally just moving here. So he just made assumptions. Very rude. And when I asked for someone else. He came into the room and confronted me. And then when I told him why and that he was being a jerk. He later came back in with a different tune. But still didn’t listen to me about a different doctor and still keeps assuming that it’s anxiety.
