A family member just had surgery here and this outpatient surgery center runs like clockwork. They are extremely organized and make it a seamless easy process. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend having surgery here! They called the next day to check on the patient. They have the process from check-in to release down to an exact science. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I wish that Dr. Hovater could use a different facility because him and his staff did a wonderful job on my surgery but this surgery center and their staff really dropped the ball. They called me 30 min before my surgery time asking if I can come early. I was on my way. When I got there they weren’t ready for me. When I was called back the foot of my bed had dry splattered blood on it. They had my last name spelled wrong so they had to redo all my paperwork. The paperwork wasn’t properly filled out by the staff because the anesthesiologist was not even sure what surgery I was having. I brought my expensive brace to wear home and the nurse couldn’t figure out and how to put it on me so they just used a simple sling and didn’t give me back the pillow that goes with my brace or the exercise ball for my hand. Just very unhappy with this facility but again Dr Hovater has done a fantastic job. I highly recommend him just needs to use a better facility.

My experience was a good one for the most part. They need to let at least one family member back with you before they wheel you into surgery! I was very frightened and this made me uncomfortable. Front desk was great! Insurance was ok... acted busy , almost like they were bothered by me! Told me one thing about my coverage at my Doctors office then it was different at the surgery center! Communication is always the key! Nurses were highly trained, the one I had getting me ready could have smiled more and her bed side manner could have been better. The other nurses were ok , they could have been more helpful /friendly I imagine! Same goes for the anesthesia team... they came across as I was bothering them! Especially the women anesthesia nurse! I don't like to feel that way! They did a great job overall but I was dissatisfied with a few things mentioned above! Overall rating 4 out of 5!

Went for outpatient surgery on my knee yesterday, July 10. Dr. Mann was very caring. There was one nurse in particular I would like to recognize. Dustin Lindville made sure I was very comfortable in recovery and took great care of me. Wonderful place

I had an early morning subacromial decompression and a distal clavicle excision at this facility. Not only were the nurses irritated about having to come in so early, but they were also sloppy with their work and just plain disrespectful. The first nurse who put an IV in my hand didn't tape it down immediately and ended up spilling some of my blood. She also, apparently, forgot to screw it closed completely so that when the next nurse would come to flush antibiotics into my IV, the IV wouldn't leak. When the next nurse came to flush the antibiotics, I could feel it leaking into my hand. I kept trying to tell her that I thought it was leaking, but she kept refusing to look at it and told me my hand was just getting cold from the antibiotics(?). When she finally got tired of me complaining, she noticed it was leaking(like I had already told her) and instead of just screwing it shut, she forcefully pushes the IV deeper into my hand, causing me pain. This later led to me discovering that she had blown a valve and it developed a painful blood clot in my hand that lasted 2 1/2 weeks. I also received a nerve block and the man who administered that was really rude and forceful. I hope that if I ever have surgery again that it will not be at this facility.

I needed a plate which required placing screws into my body/bone. The pre-op nurse (Kameron)said I'd be given light sedative and trapped to a table. Didn't mention if I could wear contacts or makeup. Common sense told me no. I was so afraid my mom called KAMERON back and she double down. It took a family friend in this field to assure me I'd be asleep. That Tuesday the registration nurse she had me so scared (basically double down on what Kameron. And bounced away happily siping her drink and fixing her lipstick) I tried running out of there. Once I was past the dingbats and the nurse that shares name calm me more than a puppy at Christmas. Stephanie, Kandi. ( I can't Remember Her name. Shortish white blonde hair Auburn fan, short and a hand holder when starting the IV. These three ladies deserve a raise, and should be put in charge more often. Steph's husband if your reading this, she is smart and bright and doesn't talk enough. Thank you to those 3 and the anesthesiologist I can't remember his name but thank you. Thank you so much from the Sprinkle's.

I was treated exceptionally well by the entire staff of professionals at Shoals Outpatient Surgery. The kindness and care I received was across-the-board; from the front desk to the operating room.
