I had an exceptional experience with Amelia Breland, NP, at St. Thomas Community Health Center. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for. Amelia took the time to listen attentively to all of my concerns, making sure I understood every aspect of my care. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly dedicated to her patients. The most unprofessional and inconsiderate Dr. I have ever seen in my life would be Leslie Brown. Not on one occasion but multiple! Down to the irrelevant notes she takes that have absolutely nothing to do with a diagnosis. Writing quotes on what I said about the receptionist calling me for an appointment yet not one note on even a suggestion or solution on what could be the reason for my hand swelling. I went to the emergency room on Sunday was called on Monday to come in for a follow-up appointment. Tuesday I'm in office yet the doctor didn't look at my hands once. I explained I've been dealing with random swelling for weeks! No suggestions. called less than 24hrs later because my wrist is now swollen. No return call instead a NOTE left on the portal that read "I attempted to call you". If you had called why no voicemail instead a note on the portal? Sure that makes sense. This doctor lacks the care required to deal with patients clearly, she listens because she felt it necessary to make a note about a comment, I made about scheduling but how about listening to MEDICAL PROBLEMS and assisting with that. Everything about my experience with Brown is impersonal. I requested a phone call because I noticed Lab results were in. Again no phone call but why of course a note was left in the patient portal that read "You're slightly anemic..Sugar was higher than normal..Vitamin D is still low" but lets recheck labs in a year. Nevermind my mom and dad are both a diabetic so I should maybe be concerned. OR dare entertaining the fact I asked for a phone call about the results because I had questions. Or again any solution to my initial problem..my HAND SWELLING? NOPE! See her next year. If you are going to visit St. Thomas I pray it's with a doctor that actual cares.

I went in this location to get labs done. When I got to the lab room, the person in there looked at my information, smacked her teeth, and sighed as if it was too much for her to do. When we were done, I was leaving out the room I hear her say, “thank God”. It’s already hard for Black women like me to feel safe when going to do anything health wise, but to have someone blatantly stressed at the fact that they have to do their job makes me not want to come back at all!

My name is Mrs phillis Allen I this it is a slap in the face .when I use to came in st thomas I was ok with the service but now it like it all spainsh work in the font desk know American people but in the back they have a few .bad enough thy or taking over the united state but your are ready buting America on the back burner like we don't access.. at one time it was all American but now a mess but one person I love to come see is Dr L. Brown ancient the young lady the weight u very nice and professional

The clinic encourages walk-ins but will leave you SITTING for hours. I arrived at the clinic for 1pm after speaking with Ashley, whom told me that the clinic accepts walk-ins from 1pm to 3pm. I dragged myself and sick 4 year old into the clinic for help with the Flu. There was only 2 people ahead of me and I still sat for over 3 hours without any updates to whether or not I would be seen by the doctor. It was freezing outside and inside and they would not turn up the heat for their patients waiting in the freezing waiting area. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone in need of medical treatment. I later on found out that there was no doctor available and they never said a word. I would Never Recommend this clinic to anyone....
