Over the past few years, as my mother’s health started to decline, the tough decision was made to move her from the familiarity of her home to a safer environment. After receiving recommendations from friends whose family members had been at Eddy Pond, we decided that this would be the best place her.

Not only was this move to Eddy Pond in the best interest of my mother's physical health and overall well-being, it also brought me peace of mind that she was in the hands of a skilled and supportive team of professionals.

Living out of state made it challenging to be actively involved in her care. The staff at Eddy Pond kept me updated and included me in decision-making when necessary. My mother's safety and care were my top priorities, and I am grateful for the attentive care she has received.

Furthermore, the social activities at Eddy Pond are tailored to her abilities, the facility is well-maintained, and the staff and administration is accommodating and friendly.

The time came at 95 yrs old when doctors determined my mother could not live alone any longer. She needed assisted living. I am so happy we found Brookdale Eddy Pond West. The care and attention she receives is extraordinary. In the past my mother always kept to herself living at home. During her first month at Eddy Pond West she was playing bingo with other residents. She was out listening and singing along to live entertainment. The staff paints her fingernails for her. She has made friends with residents and staff. She no longer just sits all alone at home. This is the best decision we have made for her. She is happy again. I want to thank all the staff for making her feel at home in a new situation.

My Dad started at Eddy Pond East and eventually moved to Eddy Pond West, memory care unit. I spend considerable time with my dad and witness first hand the outstanding care which he’s afforded by the entire staff in this unit! The Director, April, treats every resident, as if they were her mom or dad. Now having said this, all personnel (nursing staff, aides, recreational director, and maintenance) have been wonderful. The residents all seemed to be engaged in many activities throughout each day. Finally, I am very pleased with the responsiveness of all the staff at this facility whenever I have an issue! A special shout out to Andrea at the front desk, who is always so friendly and very welcoming!

Beware...they are implementing a new policy calling it their "preferred pharmarcy" plan. Although they state in their contract that you can use ANY pharmacy you choose, you will be charged a "fee" for doing so at the rate of $150 per month. In our opinion, this is fine...not a fee. We have had nothing but problems with Omnicare, their pharmacy of choice. This new policy does not present a choice at all, but is a blatant money grab.

We moved mom to Eddy Pond West memory care unit 6 months ago. The transition for mom and our family was brutal and the staff at Eddy Pond could not have been more supportive and kind. They were able to brilliantly problem solve for us. Mom was barely eating, non social and very sad when she moved.
6 months later she is over 20lbs heavier tells everyone how much she enjoys the activities and all her friends. On all our visits the staff is seamless stepping in for each other as needed, very responsive to any questions and concerns I have and seem to genuinely enjoy the residents.
One of the most difficult decisions we as a family have ever had to make and we couldn't be happier with our choice of Eddy Pond.

I can’t say enough good things about Brookdale Eddy Pond East!

My mother came to Eddy Pond East when she could no longer live independently. While the transition for her was difficult as she was so used to being self-sufficient, the staff was wonderful in helping ease that transition. They treated her with respect and compassion, and she came to love it there. The facilities are nice (this is the new building), the grounds are beautiful, and the food is fantastic. The administration is kind, friendly and efficient, and the activities are varied and wonderful.

A few months after moving in, my mother became ill and we took her to the hospital, where we got the devastating news that she was failing and had to go into hospice. Eddy Pond East welcomed her back from the hospital with open arms and no hesitation and allowed her to take hospice there. The nurses were exemplary in taking care of her, and in her final week everyone (nurses, staff, housekeeping and even the kitchen staff) took turns checking up and visiting her. Their motto is “no one goes alone”, and special thanks to Gail, who was the one who held her hand as she crossed over. We are ever so grateful to everyone, especially Gail and Sue, for taking such wonderful care of her and helping her feel loved and safe, especially as she transitioned over that last week.

When and if my husband and I need assisted living, we will definitely choose Eddy Pond East!

I Highly Recommend this assisted living facility. We moved our Mom 1 week ago into Brookdale Eddy Pond West. The staff is absolutely amazing and I can not say enough about them. From the Director Ellen to Joe and all staff members including dining staff, activity director and maintenance Adam; all have made this transition happen with such ease. Their positive energy and attitude make the world of difference. Mom is happy and has friends to dine with and do activities. The food served in the dining room is delicious! Several dining choices to choose from and the kitchen staff takes pride in what is being served. We are seeing our Mom regain her happy go lucky, chatty self! The family is thrilled with facility and hands down one of the BEST Assisted Living Facilities in the area.

My Dad has lived at Eddy Pond West in Auburn for 4 years - through COVID which was handled well and later a management change. It is expensive but includes services (food, laundry, cleaning, activities) that give family peace of mind. The personal interactions with staff and other residents is most important. The staff knows him and his habits. I trust them to let me know if anything is "off". He's happy / we're happy.
Brookdale Eddy Pond West is a good option for assisted living in the Worcester, MA area.
