Can you guys please train your reception staff to not start their tone and attitude with the intention of getting defensive with patients? I’ve made a couple of appointments to this place and I’ve been received with a receptionist who clearly has a micro aggressive attitude. She starts off sounding annoyed from the start, almost like she’s bored or tired of her job, but nothing that can’t be overlooked, however when you start asking questions, or you don’t know certain things, she starts to sound condescending and rude, but makes it very subtle so you can’t just point it out to her as easily. This has happened 3 times with the same person. I noticed she becomes more reactive towards me when I get more assertive, almost like she’s just actively waiting for someone to get snappy with her so that she has a reason to be rude to you. Feed into her energy and she will gladly give you the attitude she intended to give you in the first place. She seems to be a Latina woman with a deep voice. Everyone else I’ve spoken to here has been lovely, but this lady in particular sounds like she gets a kick out of taking her anger out on patients.

I can’t say enough good things about Neighborhealth! Every experience I’ve had here has been excellent. The care is always top-notch, and I get fast responses through MyChart. Every provider I’ve seen—whether for medical, mental health, imaging, or dental—has been amazing. The entire team is compassionate, professional, and truly dedicated to their patients. I am new to SENH and I have been truly impressed with the staff and accommodations at this facility. The friendly atmosphere, very clean waiting areas, location of various sanitary stations and mostly the extremely short (almost no) wait times are a PLUS!
Everyone was knowledgeable , helpful and efficient.

Neighborhealth has been the worst healthcare I have ever received. I went there primarily for behavioral health for over a year, and was given students for my primary psychiatry. The students were fine but overall clueless on how to fix the problems. The doctor was astronomically worse. I did not feel like she was helping me with any of my concerns. The worst thing she did was body shame me, and told me I needed “to lose weight immediately” when I am nowhere near obese. She made me tell her on the spot what I would do to help me lose weight and put it in my treatment. I left the meeting embarrassed and crying. After all of that I stayed- until they switched my care to the East Boston location. I scheduled my appointment but then a day later they told me “they scheduled it wrong” and I would be given another provider instead. Oh! And suddenly I couldn’t get in until February (my original appointment was for beginning of November). I understand that healthcare is a difficult field and scheduling errors happen. But this wasn’t the first time that they “scheduled me wrong” and I needed to wait. I was absolutely fed up with the amount of stuff I put up with, and left. I switched care and suddenly I got the diagnosis and medication needed - that immediately fixed my problems. Do not go to Neighborhealth for long-term behavioral health care.

Love this health center have been going since 2016. Great place for families. What i appreciate most is the quality of care and I feel like I am truly a part of my children healthcare decisions. They never enforce decisions on us instead they just make sure we see well informed. Thank you Neighbor Health!
