Care & billing have gone down hill since Beth Israel took over. I've been on hold for up to an hour as I drove to Lahey. I walked into super isor's office to show them how long I was still waiting to get my call through.
My primary care physician transferred and I can't get a doctor to replace him. I'm 70, 100 percent disabled and been with Lahey Burlington for 13 years. I was told 6 physicians have left, one died and there are no doctors taking patients. I was offered a nurse practitioner, which seems inadequate for someone with multiple strokes, brain aneurysm, high BP, etc. I'm thankful they have walk in & ER where I can still get care. Otherwise, I can leave Burlington & go to another location. Neither seem like a good option.

I am extremely disappointed with their service. I’ve been waiting for a year after booking an appointment, only to have it canceled the day before. Additionally, my PCP has been changed three times without any notice, and I have yet to meet my assigned PCP. Every time I try to schedule an appointment, I’m assigned to a different doctor. On top of that, I never receive a call or message, even when my reports come back abnormal. I’ve never experienced such a level of unprofessionalism in my life.

Worse things you guys did buy adding parking validation. 20 minutes lines to get in for appointments. Stupidity by Lahey. People are getting out of their cars to press buttons to get tickets which is ultimately free by validating. There are other ways to count foot fall and cars count if that was the motivation.

Lahey General Internal Medicine has good doctors who are overbooked. When you get an appointment, the practitioners listen to you but they don't perform thorough physical exams. If you need care urgently, you will need to go to the Urgent Care Clinic at 41 Mall Road or the ER at the same address.

Understaffed- too many patients and not enough providers.
Must book an appointment many months out to see PCP. Without a doubt this has become more glaring over the years. Doctors are stretched too thin, and being overworked/stressed takes a toll. Have noticed more and more inaccuracies in after-visit summary notes.
Due to having to take an appointment with whomever is available, care is often disjointed, which is understandable since someone new won't be familiar with your health issues.
Others have commented that Lahey isn't the same since the merger with Beth Israel happened. With the way it's being run now, it's evident that hospital administration does not prioritize care over other considerations- to the detriment of both patients and providers.

P.S. You can bet that the select few in charge who decided on the cost-benefit of remaining understaffed, versus the extra strain it has had on current staff, were able to access the hospital's Executive Health program just fine (so they would not be affected as patients)

Worst patient care ever. Horrible communication between doctors/PA and nurses and secretaries to patients. Nobody knows what is going on. PA Claire Gibson was my PCP but would not speak to me despite me asking her to. Nobody in her office knows the answer to my questions. What is going on in this department? Do not recommend this place ever if you want a provider that cares about your health.

Abundant free parking and short waiting time. I'm glad Lahey added this building, so patients can save time during their visits comparing to the huge main building nearby.

Have been going there forever but just got a letter that my primary care doctor is leaving and they do not have enough doctors to assign me to a new one and told me to go else where for primary care.
