My mother recently had a stress test at UMass Memorial Health Marlborough Hospital (159 Union St, Marlborough, MA), and I just want to say how wonderful the entire team was. My mother is elderly and doesn't speak English, but she felt truly cared for and comfortable throughout the entire experience.

A special thank you to Kurt in Nuclear Medicine – he was outstanding. So clean, organized, friendly, and incredibly helpful. He made my mother feel calm and at ease during a very nerve-wracking time, and I can't say enough good things about him.

I also want to thank Sue and Karen in the Stress Lab. They were both amazing – always smiling, patient, and making sure everything went smoothly. They treated my mother with so much kindness and respect. The entire experience was easy, professional, and comforting.

Thank you all for the exceptional care. You truly made a difference for my mom, and for that I’m incredibly grateful.

The communication sucks among doctors and nurses and all staff! I got an infection in my knee while here and a blood clot! The rooms are way too small and you can’t even walk around. The food service staff is so rude and disrespectful. And then you try to explain there mistakes and they don’t want to listen or even acknowledge they’re wrong! No one takes accountability for anything here! The transport team leaves you in a hallway waiting freezing and in pain. No one would try to help me out unless I spoke out! This is the worst experience and hospital I have ever come across

My husband had chest and back pains, we went to the ER at 9:30am. We got to be seen by a doctor at 1:30pm. The doctor was nice, but the floors were filthy, the waiting room crowded. Finally he was admitted. Three days and two nights there, the bed linens and pillow cases were NEVER changed. He could not even take a shower because the doctor had to prescribe it!!! Basic hygiene was completely ignored! Doctor came to send him home”your heart is fine, you can go home”! He said. We said we were there for back and chest pain, that hasn’t subsided, it was 9 out of 10 in the pain scale. Doctor was puzzled, because in two days he apparently hasn’t read my husband’s files! Nurses were good, but place was not clean and extremely noisy! The case manager was patronizer, bossy, rude, and extremely disrespectful! My recommendation is to avoid this filthy place at all costs!

I came in there Friday night due to a bike accident and I was given a form of my pain detail that wasn’t what I said.
Now I said I had issues with rib cage and the doctor said I could have a doctors note to be out for 5 days due my severe injury.
I don’t think that they know they’re job duties and what they can and can’t do.
They refused to give me what they said.
Also they’re xray machines apparently isn’t so good because it didn’t find a fracture like how does a machine that takes X-rays not find a fracture but I I have all this pain on top of that when I called back to say that I did not end up signing my discharge papers you guys forgot to Then I said I didn’t get my doctors note that the doctor that took my patience. He told me he would give
The lady on the phone says well I don’t know who you are yada yada and said that I need to have a PCP doctor with that hospital specifically which is very weird because I don’t think that legally I do to get a doctors note

So because you guys didn’t provide me a doctors note for my job I’m back to work with physical injuries because I couldn’t prove to my job that I’m actually injured but they do believe me but still that’s on you guys the hospital it’s your job to take care of the people coming in and take care of the people for when they go out what happened was the opposite? Plus my nurse was just really snotty. She was really snotty. I didn’t like her service very well and she was also rude to me on the phone as well. I mean, what the hell is the attitude for to tip it all off you guys are supposed to make sure that I’m gonna be OK when I leave there that’s your duty and I don’t have to like have a nurse or primary care with your hospital to be known. Are you serious? I want to talk to the person in charge of that whole emergency room.

My father was admitted to the hospital last night and I stayed with him. I heard him press the emergency button. (only once throughout the whole night) the nurse not only took a while to come but when she finally did enter the room, she didn't even ask how he was or what happened Came in, turned off the call light, left and never came back.

AND THIS IS WITH ME IN THE ROOM.

that's what scares me. What about when I'm not here? Very unhappy about this. On top of my dad being soft spoken he doesn't like bothering people. This would just prompt him to not even call because no one even cares to ask what's wrong.

Over crowded sure- that’s many ERs. But doesn’t appear admin is trying to be part of the solution. I’ve visited about 6x in last 4 mos. There’s a nurse named Dave who deserves a raise and a parade. He doesn’t remember me, yet he consistently has treated me and members of my family with exceptional care.

Thats where it stops- 5/6 out our last ER trips we received our car in the hallway. My last visit was in a bay- where my IV was botched, three blasts of Zofran gone (I will certainly be billed for) and disrespect toward my dignity. The ER did not have any self care supplies. I changed my own linens twice, carried my own clothes in a garbage bag, and nothing was rinsed or anything. I was moved from the bay to the annex ( that had a heating issue) on wet sheets. I was moved back to the ER in the hallway between the bathroom and supply closet under the light for 5 hours. A staff said “ i’m surprised they left you here for this long. They usually try to keep people out of the spot for extended periods of time. It’s the worst spot in the hospital.”

Was them moved back to the cold annex where eventually, I was discharged.

There were no pillows, there were no supplies, the blankets were stained, and everybody who’s there is working their complete butt off doing the absolute best they can with what they have and it’s a damn shame

I know the reviews are not the greatest BUT keep in mind this is Frontline healthcare and these nurses & doctors are doing their best. Yes, the cleanliness could be better however I've been here 2x in the past 3 months with my spouse who is a survivor of breast cancer and the care & compassion has been phenomenal. Clearly, the ERs are overloaded. Give these Frontline workers grace, especially with the hike in illnesses during this time. We are all human. This is not meant to be a 5 star resort although I can imagine we all need that right now.

Avoid at all costs, drive further unless you are dying! My husband was seem through the ER for his swollen and lainful leg which turned out to be a blood clot. The doctor came over to tell us this and sent about 3 minutes with us, told him to take a blood thinner and tried to send us out the door. I had to stop him to ask if he knows my husband's history as he has been extremely ill and has severe anemia (he had a blood transfusion 2 months prior). I was very worried about him taking a blood thinner with the anemia. ER doctor told us he had no other choice and had the nurse discharge us. 2 days later my husband was admitted to MGH for anemia brought on through complications from the blood thinner. He spent a week in the hospital!

The ER doctor seemed rushed, careless, and overall unenthused. He did not want to discuss why my husband got a blood clot, what concerns to look for, and follow up steps. I had to ask all the questions and he seemed bored with having to answer them. Overall I think he spent 8 minutes with us for a pretty serious health condition.

We will never go back although I'm sure they don't care.
