Been coming to this neurologist for a year now. Today was a good day. They were running on time, and the waiting room was empty. Dr. Brandy Centers is always great- we chat like girlfriends makes the visit much more enjoyable. Always very clean offices and well organized. The doctors are always so knowledgeable, and have bedside manners. Highly recommend Dr. Brandy Centers to anyone who is looking for a neurologist.

Disturbing office with lots of turnover. My old dr Brandy Centers was amazing, who no longer works here. The office didn’t tell me that my appointment occurring in a month was scheduled with a provider that no longer works at FMC. They refused to reschedule me with a new provider at either location despite being an existing patient. They also refused to provide a recommendation for another neuro dr. I’m sure I will run out of my rx as I scramble to search for a new dr. Poor communication and a sour and abysmal attitude from the staff member I spoke to.

I wanted to double-check on my next follow appointment so I called the neurology office I was told that Melissa Miranda is no longer with the practice and Dr Gonzalez is not seeing patience anymore and that this new doctor is not seeing any of the existing patients so that means many many many many people need to find a new neurologist with no notification from the office. This is absolutely unacceptable.

I have had Dr. Gonzales as my neurologist for 6 plus years. I was trying to call the office due to technical problems they had yesterday during my appointment. I looked it up and couldn't believe the negative reviews I read. I am not taking away nor am I negating the experiences people speak of. My experience with Dr Gonzalez is, he is very professional, cares about me as his patient and I feel like we are partners in my health care. I wanted to give my experiences. Again, every 90 days for over 6 years I do engage with he and his office staff often.Janet his assistant is also amazing and cares! There have been some hiccups, but never made me feel unappreciated as a patient. There have been a couple times the receptionist was short, but people have bad days. I am not making light of other experiences, again, I am speaking from my own and I would, and HAVE recommended people to Dr. Gonzales as I feel he is an asset to Florida Medical and he has helped me in the last 6 years. Thank you Dr. Gonzales and Janet!

I saw Dr. Gonzalez for the first time recently, and this will be my last. He seems competent, but had no interest in learning about me as a patient or listening to my concerns. Definitely not the consultative approach that I want to experience with a caregiver. He literally had one foot out the door as I was trying to ask questions. His recommendation was "wear a brace for 4 months and if it doesn't get better, have surgery".

I wish EVERY DOCTOR ON MY HEALTH TEAM was as kind, concerned, and caring as Dr. Gonzalez. I have been a patient of his for over 12 years and during those 12 years, I have seen many changes in his practice. I was referred to Dr. Gonzalez to get help managing my migraines during my pregnancy. He's been my neurologist ever since. Dr. Gonzalez has consistently showed concern about me as a person and concern about my support system and family. He was not just interested in my neurological diagnosis. I appreciate the active listening Dr. Gonzalez gives to my concerns, especially in this day and time of impersonal, digitized communication and everything being so rushed. His recommendations and interventions have restored a big part of my quality of life. When pain is alleviated, I can breathe again, and smile again.
Here's what I know. When I arrive to my appointments and greet office staff with positivity and politeness, usually, it is reciprocated. I do know his practice is very busy and there are times it can be difficult to reach someone over the phone. I don't attribute that to the doctor himself. There have been staffing shortages for the last few years regarding receptionists, medical assistants, and support staff. The few times there have been issues with support staff, I completed the satisfaction surveys Florida Medical Clinic used to give out and handled my issues that way. I personally, have not had an issue with Dr. Gonzalez that wasn't covered under graciousness and realizing that although Mr. Gonzalez is a physician, he is human and so are his staff members. This does not absolve them of their roles to be professional and positive, but I know I don't get things right everyday and I don't want anyone blaming me for something I cannot control. I also would hope someone would give me grace for having a rough moment or having a bad day. I believe in 2nd chances for certain things.
Again, I am not writing this review to disprove anyone's experience because I did not attend their appointments. I have only attended mine. I am indeed grateful for Dr. Gonzalez visiting me in the hospital after giving birth to my daughter. He helped resolve my mega migraine combined with an epidural headache because NO DOCTOR IN THE HOSPITAL could help me. I am thankful that Dr. Gonzalez gathers information from his patients besides just the diagnosis. There have been times I arrived to appointments and I was exhausted and depressed. The front office staff encouraged me, andgave me a Kleenex to wipe my tears. Dr. Gonzalez encouraged me as well. It made a difference. He is concerned about how my medications effect me because I am a mom and caregiver. He really cares. I appreciate you Dr. Gonzalez, your nurse, transcriptionist, and the office staff who work so hard to answer all of the calls, and check everyone in and out correctly under overwhelming circumstances.
I am sorry for those who did not have a good experience while visiting your practice. I am thankful and grateful that my mindset, outlook, point of view, and experience are different. Your practice has always been 5 stars to my family. I would refer you to my family and friends with the caveat of how busy your practice is, but if the person can wait for an appointment, it is worth it. Best regards.

I thought Dr Gonzalez was great. Made me feel comfortable from the time he walked into the room. He listened to my issues and did a more thorough evaluation than any other neurologist I’ve seen. Very pleasant and professional. The office respected my time and I was in and out in less than an hour; Again, much better than most of my other doctors. The rest of the staff members were pleasant and very professional as well. I would recommend him to others needing neurological care.

I would avoid going to this place unless you want to know what it's like to wait 35 minutes in the lobby just to be taken to a room where you'll wait to see Dr. Gonzalez for another 50 minutes or so just staring at the walls. While I was was waiting, absolutely no-one came in to even check on me, ask how I'm doing and at least let me know why it was taking so long. All this after waiting a little over two weeks just to get this appointment...and the lady I that I made the appointment with over the phone sounded like she hated her job. Very unprofessional. They left me with no choice but to just get up and leave. If I could leave zero stars, I would.
