When I needed help assessing an orthopedic issue (again), the team at Boston Orthopedic made sure I got a prompt appointment - next day!! Though I typically see Dr Karlson, he wasn’t available so I saw his PA Christina. I shouldn’t be surprised that the care was absolutely wonderful, just as it has been with Dr Karlson. Christine was very thorough and honest with me throughout my visit. She showed and explained my X-rays of my knees so I would understand completely. She offered me a Cortisone shot, which I refused and told me to put a pain gel on my left knee to make it better. She said my range of motion was good and I could continue with my exercises as long and as I didn’t aggravate my knee. I didn’t need a follow up unless I thought I needed one. I was very pleased with her explanation and her candor. I would recommend her to anyone with orthopedic issues. She was great.

Visit was straight forward from parking to registration then xray and actual visit. Workers at each point were helpful and friendly. My actual medical visit with Christina was professional, really helpful and really organized. I got the information I needed with description and most likely cause of problem as well as pain relief and PT follow up. Would recommend this clinic in a heartbeat 💗

My visit with PA Samantha Chan was very good She understood my symptoms and current needs and responded very helpfully. She is really empathic as well as expert.

I gave the visit only 4 stars because of the painfully slow and laborious automated check-in system, that delays both returning patients like me with all 3 if my required IDs, and the new patient trying to check in at the same time, arriving from rehab without her IDs. I hope this system is not going to be put in place elsewhere, since it makes the patient's visit start out quite uncomfortably and can't really be very pleasant for the human receptionists.

Christina is definition of professional and yet not a "stuffed shirt". She's very engaging and knowledgeable. Great personality and wonderful bedside manners. She's assisted on 2 surgeries that I've had; and I see her occasionally for follow ups and/or any complications I may have with the areas surgeries were performed. I highly recommend her.
