Dr. Ahmed is a fantastic PCP and his team is so friendly and helpful. He and they are caring, responsive, supportive, and he even has a good sense of humor, which I appreciate when I'm not feeling well. Importantly, I feel heard. I especially appreciate Dr. Ahmed's helping me juggle a bunch of different specialists and procedures for some complex medical issues in the past few years.

Very often with PCPs you have to choose between either punctual care that feels rushed or attentive care that often runs behind scheduled, but I don't think Dr. Ahmed and his team have kept me waiting more than a few minutes past my appointment times (except for one single time when it turned out that they were actually reviewing my case before they called me back) and I've never felt rushed. A big bonus for working folks: Dr. Ahmed has had Saturday hours, which was especially helpful when I was working a lot.

Just a few notes about Emerald Physicians, the practice that Dr. Ahmed is with. The staff and administration in Dr. Ahmed's Sandwich office are awesome. I love that they have on site lab services. I usually go to their Marstons Mills location for scheduled labs or to the Stoneman Outpatient Center in Sandwich for walk-in lab work.

I love their web portal and their Healow app. I can even see lab results from Stoneman Outpatient Center's lab since they're both part of Cape Cod Healthcare. Hopefully they'll incorporate billing into their portal like many other large organizations, as I've found it very convenient to see detailed billing information throughout the year for other healthcare organizations.

Munir Ahmed is yet just another crony of pharmaceutical and medical industry known as 'Cape Cod Healthcare'. No direction at all from first visit. Left office with more unanswered questions than when I walked in with. Very offensive from the get-go about prescriptions he wouldn't prescribe me out of fear of losing his license, even when I never asked for them. Then very aggressive on giving me medications I didn't need with side effects that completely contradict my medical history -- all to turn a quick buck. Then all that was then proceeded with a half-baked attempt to belittle and disprove a confirmed diagnosis by trying to tell me how I should walk with symptoms -- as if he has any clue whatsoever what I'm experiencing... Typical MD, can regurgitate all the symptoms from his old text books, but can't listen to his patient or read an MRI when prompted. I'm not saying he's the worst. As with all doctors in this area, it's pick your poison for a glorified referral agent. I can however say with certainty he definitely doesn't deserve his own five star rating he gave himself...
