The crisis response here is abysmal. If you're experiencing negative side effects, you can't call and talk to a provider about your concerns. The receptionists role their eyes at you over the phone. After called over and over for 3 business days, I finally got a call back from a provider who "booked" me an appointment with our provider, but that provider never showed up. The agency is the pits and I would highly recommend not bothering with them at all.

Update: Eliot Center has put my son's life in danger multiple times and we're desperately trying to leave this agency. I will be reporting them to the licensing board as I feel strongly they are not operating safely. I have been talked down to by receptionists, had to call over and over to have meds filled, had to get emergency prescriptions filled because they ignore my calls for refills, and had my son end up in the hospital because the on call nurse wouldn't return our phone call. Our practitioners have been lovely, but they're clearly overworked and burdened by the general chaos of the agency. They need a complete organizational overhaul in order to treat patients safely.

ELIOT has incompetent staff. They should not be prescribing orders. They do not return calls. They have put medication orders in with the wrong medication, another time with the wrong birth date. Prescribers and Therapists switch out, without ever letting the patient know. The staff openly admit they are overloaded with clients, and that's the excuse for them not keeping the appointments that they, themselves have scheduled. They have put my son's life in danger several times. I am making a formal complaint to the Governor's office as well as Mass Rehab. I would never recommend Elliot human behavioral services to anybody. This organization/business needs to be shut down. I am also calling channel 7 as well .

Worst mental health services I have ever gotten in my life. Do not go here unless you wanna get worse to the point you wanna end everything. I have gotten worse from being here. They provide medication that should be checked every two weeks. Did not get a single call back and these medications can cause psychosis if not used right. I will never ever go here again. They should be shut down and never provide services again. As someone who has been here since I was 13 and have not improved as I’m now 22. I would like a huge apology from the whole staff for failing me.

Good luck getting anything done with reception. They're extremely rude and do not respect you at all. They will straight up hang up on you when you get rightfully upset they aren't doing their jobs. Genuinely so unprofessional.

edit 04/2/25: LMAO AND THEY PUT IN THE WRONG MEDICATION? WHAT A JOKE

Our entire family appreciated all The Eliot Team did to make my sister feel comfortable during her stay with them, and to manage her health issues. All the staff were kind and caring towards my sister, and demonstrated a work ethic and professionalism that resulted in a positive experience for my sister and our family.

Editing to add that someone called me from Eliot, explained the situation, and was very apologetic. This, IMO, makes up for what happened especially since I have a better understanding of everything.

Avoid this place at all costs. Communication is horrible. It took me a month to get my medical records. No one answers the phone or returns voicemails, and no one responds to emails. Initially I was told that I had to go in-person to submit the medical release form which I thought was strange considering we are almost a year into a pandemic. I thought surely businesses would have adapted their procedures to reduce in-person interactions. A month later when my records still weren't released I spent 2-3 days calling every number I could and sending multiple emails, trying to speak to a human being to get answers. It honestly seems like no one is working at Eliot right now, or they are just working whenever they feel like it. The cherry on top is when I finally received an email from the director, Melissa, who sent me the release form electronically! Also, the therapist I was seeing (who I really liked) is no longer working here and now I see that there is a high turn-over rate so that makes sense. I suggest to avoid the headaches go elsewhere...

My 6 year old has been on the waiting list since April. I received an email back in June saying they’re taking her off the waitlist because I never signed the release they sent. I never received one. So the person who was emailing me ( who was very rude btw) says “ I’ll resend them but if you don’t return our email in the future she will be taken off the list” I never received any paperwork in my email. The only things I received was the original notice that acknowledges I wanted treatment, the email saying she was being removed, and the documents she “ resent” that I needed to sign. When I asked for some type of estimate in how long we would be waiting she said she had no idea, but that most people don’t respond. Humm same situation that I just went through. I’m just wondering how I’m supposed to get my daughter the service that she needs? I called and left messages countless times and nobody’s ever responded. I waited months for her to be seen and her issues aren’t getting better. I’m going to call today to try to see what we can do as her Pediatrician keeps referring us here .

I've been going here for roughly 5 years and have had 3 counselors in total. Around my first year here, I stopped going and came back and found out my first counselor had left which was a bummer because she was great. My second one left after a few years and I now have another one who is great. All of the counselors seem very nice but I will agree with another poster who said they seem to have a high turnover rate in staff.
I do want to add that parking can be tough over here, especially if your appointment is after about 2 or 3pm and it's only street parking.
