THIS IS A SCAM! I received 2 bills this week from Assured Collections LLC for debts I supposedly owed from two years and 5 months ago to this Philcare Medical Supplies and I have never heard of this company, so I researched through my insurance and these bills were never produced to my insurance, so I called and left messages, but haven't been able to speak to a live person yet to get a invoice. Then I googled the Assured Collections LLC and Philcare Medical Supplies.... The phone numbers ARE THE SAME!!!, The addresses ARE THE SAME!! This is a scam!

had surgery in 2018. My doctor sent me home with some DVT prevention compression device. There was an agreement between the office and Philcare that they would bill insurance, accept what insurance covered and won't bill patient. I NEVER heard from them. NEVER received a bill or phone call until i was turned over to COLLECTIONS this year. I have the same contact information as I did at that time. I have made multiple attempts to contact them but no phone numbers work. Philcare is a scam! The surgery center and the doctors office confirmed that they were scamming patients. The doctor that did my surgery ended their relationship with PHILCARE because they were charging patients and turning them over to collections outside of their agreement with the doctor/patient. Collections (capital accounts llc) is useless in trying to help me with this rediculous $6000 bill (this device is for sale on amazon for $60) The collection agency keeps wanting to settle with me when I should owe NOTHING. I had reached my insurance deductible that year and I should owe ZERO dollars. I am a medical professional, with excellent health insurance and would never not pay my bills. These people are a sham and just trying to dig up as much money as possible. I don't believe they are even in business any more as no contact info on them works. PHILCARE, if you need to resolve your insurance billing issues then contact me directly like you should have four years ago

My story is the same as everyone else's. Never heard of this company. Had a knee surgery in 2019 and all medical equipment was covered. Now, 3+ years later collection agency calls me. The weird number at Philcare never returns calls. I did get a phone number to call Parks who was mentioned in another review, but I never get a response from that number either. Alexis works for the collection agency so everyone that is referencing Alexis--she does not work for Philcare--she works for Assured Collections. I heard that Philcare became obsolete a few years back when the owner abruptly fled the country. Then, he recently returned and purchased....Assured Collections. Now, this collection agency is using the information to scam people. It sounds real when they can provide names and dates, etc. Lawyer up everyone!

Today, I received an unexpected "bill" for $2,995.00 from Assured Collection, dated 3/24/2023 stating I owe a debt to Philcare Medical Supplies, which I've never heard of, and the date corresponds to a surgery I had 2/10/2020. Why wasn't I sent a bill for this amount? This looks like a SCAM. I will start by researching it with Medicare and probably filing a complaint with the AG of Louisiana.

I just received a collection letter from Assured collections 12/2/22 for services 12/6/19 from Phil Care Medical. Phil care billed my insurance $9995 for a Plasma flow device. My insurance paid them nearly $3500. The medical equipment cost $179-249 on Amazon. Now they're sending me a collection letter asking for 399.80 more! I was told back in 2019 that whatever my insurance paid would be all they would ask for. I too think this is a scam. They're hoping some of us will just send them the money. Smells fishy to me.

My mother had surgery on her wrist in Oct 2020, and as part of her therapy/recovery the doctor prescribed a cold compression machine for about three month period, which we had for about maybe two weeks and used once, and then returned the machine back to the therapy center. Fast forward 2 years and 5 months later and she gets a collection notice from Assured Collections for $5,995.00 for the machine. I called the agency to let them know that we don’t owe the company anything and right away they start trying to drop the price down, first about half and then an additional $500.00 on top of that for a total of $2497.00. I told them she can’t afford to pay that and the girl said she’d forward the information to the legal team. I was like WTH. Shady practices if you ask me and no invoice or bill from Philcare Medical Supply themselves Straight to a collection agency? This has got to be a fleecing of senior Americans.

Received an invoice from Assured Collections stating I owed over a $1000 for something from Philsure Medical Suppies. I've never hear of this company nor would I have had a 3 year old account that was pass due. Please, can someone explain? I checked them out in BBB, which also has numberous complaints about their accounting department and looked up NC statue of limitations for recovering debt. . . 3 years.

Received a bill 2.5 years after the surgery. I questioned why the delay and they claimed it was due to COVID. I called my doctor and they did not have any record of this company either. Said it possible could have been the hospital that ordered it. I have since changed insurance companies so it was not use going back to them for clarification. I didn't want my credit score to be affected so paid the $400. Now two months after I sent it I get another bill. I have proof the check was mailed. Today I sent an email and it bounced back as undeliverable. I am thinking I got scammed too. The check has not been cashed and going to call bank to stop payment.
