This hospital has some of the worst billing practices I’ve ever encountered. I took my son here for evaluation, and all they did was perform an ultrasound and a single lab test to determine if treatment was needed. They took 4 to 5 hours for ultrasound and seen by doctor. Despite no actual treatment being provided, they billed a staggering $10,000.

Nearly $5,000 was charged just for sitting in the waiting area and briefly speaking with an RN and an on-duty doctor for less than five minutes. The ultrasound alone was billed at an outrageous $4,000.

When I contacted the billing department for clarification, they had no explanation for the charges. I disputed the bill, and after more than 45 days, their response was simply that an ā€œalgorithmā€ determined the pricing and that the charges were correct. Any further questions were deflected, with them telling me to contact my insurance—even though I am the responsible party.

Similar issue on a different day when my doctor office sent one of the lab to Metrowest. Metrowest billed 1200 dollars and 240 dollars post insurance adjustments. Same lab costs only 18$ through lab Corp or quest.

This kind of price gouging and lack of transparency is unacceptable. Patients deserve fair and reasonable billing, not inflated charges backed by vague justifications. I strongly urge others to be cautious before seeking care at this facility.

Have to say that I had great experience going in for foot surgery and being cared for by their staff. My entire experience flowed without delay, from checking in via Vicki to being handed over to the OR. Though I cannot remember all the names of the different personnel attending to my needs; I wanted to mention a special thanks to Virgil for prepping me, and calming my nerves, Tish for her persistence and attentiveness on all my needs or questions pre surgery to Michelle caring for me with snacks and ginger ale, post surgery. Finally thanks to MD Phan and those else involved with making my surgery seem like a breeze. You all make it look so easy.

Still waiting for now on hour 5. Complained of severe stomach pain. I have seen the doctor actually one singular time for 22 seconds in which she came in and felt my stomach, and I had to make her come back and feel the exact spot that was hurting. And then she just ordered tests. That was 3 hours ago. No one told me I was not supposed to eat or drink so that will most likely set me back as well if anything is to happen. All I know is this hospital bill better be comped because this was the worst service I have ever gotten. My nurse left around hour 4 did not let me know I was getting sent over to someone else I had to disconnect myself to go find someone to call up to CT to figure out when I will go up. Very rude when you ask questions about timelines or any communication. Bad overall.

I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the care provided to my mother during her stay on the 5th floor, specifically under the care of Nurse Sylvia. My mother was admitted with a broken hip and had just undergone surgery. During her stay, my family encountered multiple instances of neglect and unprofessional behavior that have raised serious concerns about the level of care she received.

My sister reached out to express concerns about my mother’s care, including the unresponsiveness to her call light and the failure to deliver her dinner. Nurse Sylvia hung up on my sister during the call and then entered my mother’s room to reprimand her for reaching out to my sister. Despite my mother’s repeated attempts to use the call light, it was either ignored or possibly unplugged entirely She was experiencing severe abdominal pain at the time, which was not addressed promptly.

A supervisor, either Laurie or Laura, was notified of the situation. The supervisor assured my sister that they would go to check on my mother, but after hanging up, no visit occurred. Additionally, a patient advocate was contacted, but no follow-up call was received. I also left my contact information with the floor’s secretary in hopes to have the night supervisor call me regarding these concerns, but no one has reached out to address the issues.

Given the serious nature of these events, I plan to escalate this matter to the Board of Health, the Joint Commission, and the Nursing Board for further investigation. I believe it is essential that these concerns are addressed to ensure that no other patients endure such neglect.

THIS IS THE WORST HOSPITAL I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO HERE IT IS CERTAIN DEATH. I do not give zero stars because it is not possible. but this is the worst hospital you can go to. I went to the emergency room on Friday. I arrived at 5 pm. They did tests on me around 6:30 pm and it was 1:30 in the morning and they hadn't told me anything, I had to leave without results. Today, Monday, I am going back to get some labs done and I am taking my daughter with me. If I take her it is because I do not have anyone to look at her while I come and they tell me they cannot because there has to be someone to see the girl. I ask this is new because I always bring her with me and I have not had any problems. They tell me no, that has always been the case, but before they did not say anything good if you are a single mother and you do not have anyone to watch your child while you do labs, do not waste your time in this lab

Worst billing department. I had my Hysterectomy on March 06th, paid my copayment on that morning before the surgery. Now I receive another bill of copayment with the same amount for the same day from the Dr. office, so I called to ask about it. The representative of the billing depart has no idea what I’m talking about, she said my account is not finalized yet, I have to call back in 7-10 business days . Seriously? My payment was almost a month ago and she can’t access into it? Very frustrated

Today was my first experience at this hospital - I went in for a colonoscopy (my first one) and from the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I felt cared for. The staff went out of their way to be kind, engage me in conversation to keep me calm.

Brenda (nurse) took care of all of my prep, made sure I had plenty of warm blankets and a warm gown (literally straight out of a warmer)... I had a horrible headache so they were able to administer medication via IV before the procedure. She helped me get out of bed and showed me how to hold my gown to maintain my dignity and cover up my backside when I went to the ladies room...

There was another nurse who attended to me just before my procedure, and was in the room for the procedure. He knelt down at my bedside to chat with me prior to wheeling me in and had a great bedside manner (I wish I remembered his name to mention it here).

Once in the room, Dr. Kishfy, the wonderful nurse (whose name I can't remember) and another nurse whose name I didn't learn, and the anesthesiologist, Sang, all put me at ease.

Upon waking up the nurse flat out told me everything was normal - I didn't have to wait anxiously for results of any kind.

I believe the porter who wheeled me out was Caesar - he was very sweet as well.

I'm not sure who rolls out of a colonoscopy feeling great about their experience, but I would absolutely recommend this care team to anyone who asks.

Thanks everyone!

Bad hospital, THE DOCTORS DONT PRIORITIZE YOU. People come in and out, i was bleeding for 2 hours straight and they never called me in. What would’ve happened if i haven’t stopped bleeding? I would’ve died and it would’ve been on them! While i was there i saw a baby on the mothers arm crying sick and they waited 4 hours even more then me. NOT EVEN A BABY. I know other people with bigger problems are prioritized but baby’s should be prioritized first! My uncle is at this hospital right now crying in pain with a gallbladder issue. I hope they don’t make the same mistake with him that they did that day i was there. Worst hospital in massachusetts.
