I’ve been a patient in Framingham for 3 years, and to say it’s been frustrating is an understatement. This will also be my first review, but I felt it’d be necessary for any potential new patients.

First, I realize that the state doesn’t make things easy in prescription narcotics for adhd, and that it can be an inconvenience for the provider to do it monthly. However, where I take issue is how I’m treated. On numerous occasions, the physician’s secretary will leave me aggressive voicemails, or if I pick up, will talk over me in a condescending way in the middle of my sentence. I have also never yelled myself, this is just normal for them. It’s almost hard to describe her secretaries tone, because it’s so over the top in terms of being aggressive and rude. As someone who’s job is over the phone, I know I’d be fired on the spot if I talked to clients like this.

Second, the physician is always late to every appointment. I realize they’re other patients, but it’s been every appointment since I’ve been seeing them.

Third, they will reschedule appointments out of no where, and claim it’s your fault when you can’t get your medication due to this. This was the last straw before I left. I have Dr’s in my family and I get they have lives, but when they reschedule and it affects your medication, it might not be best practice to be aggressive with your patient on the phone.

You’re just a number at this practice, and if you like physicians and secretaries that get angry at anything that’s an inconvenience to them, then this practice is for you!

This is a late review. I contacted this company when it was Psychological Care Associates, A Division of Child & Family Psychological Services, PLLC. I'm keeping in mind that since the name has changed, perhaps the company has improved.

I contacted this company for a family member. The appointment was for a medication management issue, which required seeing an MD which should have been a psychiatrist.

I was told the appointment would be with a psychologist first, and then the patient would be referred to a psychiatrist. The contact individual said that would allow for the patient to see the psychiatrist much faster. That never happened. There was an insufficiently explained run-around about seeing the psychiatrist. Keep in mind this was for medication. The patient never got an appointment and ran out of medication before being able to get an appointment with another doctor.

In my opinion, this is inexcusable. I would have posted much sooner but I was so outraged by the treatment the patient received, I wanted to wait until I could do it with less emotionality. After a while, it slipped my mind; however, I just ran across some paperwork from that office and I realize the emotionality will always be with me. Mental health and medications are nothing to be taken lightly and in this case, the patient's needs were disregarded entirely.
