Very annoyed.
Drove 1 hour one way with a baby and toddler just to be told our appointment wasn’t today.
I know I have the appointment card somewhere stating today and I called two weeks ago to confirm day and time.
Absolutely ridiculous and bs.

A wonderful experience from start to finish! The staff was friendly, professional, and very helpful - from the moment I entered the office to when I was "signing out". Michelle, the nurse, led me to an examining room, asked pertinent questions, took me for x-rays, and made me comfortable while waiting for Dr. Paknia. When the doctor examined my feet, I felt that he addressed my concerns, offered several excellent suggestions, explained what my gait said about my feet, and made sure the I understood his answers to my questions. He was also a very personable and upbeat doctor! I recommend DeCaro Total Foot Care Center with no hesitation!

Dr DeCaro is great so is the staff in the back. Office staff I find rude. I was charged a copay when I don’t have copays anymore and gave the woman my insurance card which she could’ve looked up. Instead she said she was just going to collect my old copay and I would be reimbursed if I in fact didn’t have one.
I was told the office no longer billed my insurance co for orthotic inserts since they had several issues. So a prescription was sent for me to get them elsewhere. I called my insurance co which stated that the bill was submitted wrong twice. Dr DeCaro’s office left me a message where the prescription was sent. I called back and was talking to a different woman. I was trying to explain that the reason they had billing issues with my insurance was they submitted the bill for my last pair wrong twice according to my insurance co. Then I proceeded to ask how much it would cost if I was just to pay for them. She talked right over me saying goodbye and hung up. All my previous experienced have been great except for the front desk. Not sure if I’m going back or after my review if they would see me again anyway. I don’t usually write or participate in any reviews however today I was very disappointed

My experience with this doctor. I have taken my sons to him for well over 10 years. They both had an appointment scheduled today with him. I had to cancel at the last minute due to unexpected car trouble. I was told that if we didn't make it in, he would never see us again. You decide if that's the kind of doctor you want. I naively thought he was a kind and caring doctor, but I guess if you have an emergency or something, he wants nothing to do with you. There's something wrong with that kind of mentality.

OMG you go there and they DON'T DO ANYTHING!! they charge you for giving you a prescription to go somewhere else to do what they DON'T DO!!

Very nice office environment and friendly people. I think I spoke to Kelly the first time I called in - and though they were busy, she suggested to place me on a cancellation list. She called me back later the same day for an appointment !
So, I went in, and Dr.Paknia took care of me on the following morning.
Everyone is friendly at the office, I'm glad I called for an appointment.

Thus far, after two appointments with Dr. DeCaro, I am very pleased and in fact impressed with his deep knowledge, understanding, listening skills, and intelligent plan for me. All of this provides a foundation of confidence in the way he has approached my somewhat complicated case. I've concluded that there is a good reason why Dr. DiCaro has a strong, positive reputation.

For the record, I rarely write reviews, and every review I've ever written has been extremely positive (you can see my google reviews) so it takes a special kind of bad experience to prompt me to write a review. In this case, it is to warn others. My experience (and many other yelp reviewers experience) with DeCaro Podiatry was horrible. The doctor never examined me, just kept giving my cortisone shots and got upset when I asked him to examine my foot. I will be very specific about my ordeal, as they will likely try to discredit me. After receiving one cortisone shot for possible plantar fasciitis, I was told I would need to return 2-3 more times. I explained that I had cortisone years ago and probably only needed one shot, but booked more appointments anyway, upon their recommendation. I went for my second shot, and afterwards I was in MORE pain, so I didn't want to return, and thought I'd focus on my stretches instead. After a couple of months with zero improvement, I made another appointment. When I arrived, I explained that I was still in pain, and I asked if we could take an x-ray, or if he could examine my foot. I was told that it didn't matter what was wrong with my foot, the treatment would be the same. I said I was uncomfortable with having so many shots, and I asked if the dosage he used was a standard amount, because I wasn't getting relief, and when I had seen another doctor years ago, I only needed one shot and had immediate relief, instead of two shots, and more pain. He snidely responded "Maybe you should go back to the other doctor." I explained the doctor was in another state, and that this was a long time ago. All I wanted was information. I have learned that one must advocate for their health, and if it's rude to ask questions, I am guilty. Honestly, I was just hoping for him to actually examine my foot, answer some questions, and he clearly did not like this request. Consequently, I have seen someone else and I actually do not even have plantar fasciitis, and the treatment and stretches I was provided by this center were not appropriate for my condition. The added pain could have been prevented if the doctor just examined me, and helped me to understand what was going on. I think its important to reflect on the very positive experience I had with the staff - always helpful, friendly, and eager to please. I have anxiety about shots, and his assistant held my hand every time, and was very lovely - she is a saint. We even had friendly banter about our dogs, and the last visit I had she even came out to meet my dog, so any "evidence" that I was rude or did not get along with people in the practice is completely inaccurate. Avoid this practice. Again, I encourage you to read the Yelp reviews and you will find many, many other similar stories. I wish I had read yelp before I scheduled an appointment. It would have saved me months of pain.
