I saw Dr. Silverman for many years. For most of those years she was a capable doctor. In 2020 I began experiencing dizziness. Since my blood pressure was fine she determined I was fine. (A cardiologist I was later referred to disagreed with my BP being fine and said it was low. Immediately pulled me off a BP med and questioned a high BP diagnosis.) Soon after being told I was fine I fainted and acquired a TBI. I was continuing to report dizziness to Dr. Silverman. I was reporting drops in BP and spikes in heart rate. Dr. Silverman attributed everything to my TBI. She refused to explore my complaints, even after passing out in her waiting room. Eventually we parted ways. My current doctor did explore my complaints. After being sent for a tilt table test, I was diagnosed with POTS. I have the type of POTS that looks like high BP. I agree with another review I’ve read- Dr. Silverman is a good doctor, until you need her to trust you know your body best.

She has been my pcp, and when I was healthy I had no issues. I start feeling ill with increased symptoms and she dismisses me because I have no past history. Over the course of 6 months she continues to be dismissive, brushes me off, and won’t look past normal labs and listen to the patients actual symptoms. Met with a new PCP and right away came back with an abnormal ecg and cardiology consult. If there’s the slightest chance you’ll no longer be a simple patient, I suggest finding someone else. She will fight you even on the simplest things.
